There was a crisp packet down the side of the bed and a mug with coffee left at the bottom. Other than this, the bedding and room was clean.

Beautiful location right on the seafront. The Sea Breeze had great facilities, and the room size was good.

The room was smelly like sweaty socks. The room was so cold. I rang up to put the heating on. It lasted half an hour. i bought some air freshener.. I have stayed here before and was very happy. It was very cold outside & could not get warm in the room. We felt very uncomfortable. The bed was not that comfortable. (Hard)So we have decided to look elsewhere for our next visit .

I liked it was on the ground floor as requested as i have a disability. I like the position of the sea breeze

There was no staff to ask for extra coffees or loo rolls. I could have done with a room check. The heating I had to phone twice to ask for the heating to be put on as it was below the temperature they say it is, and I was very cold. The door locks are OK, but we could do with a card with it written on just in case our phones run out of battery when out.

I liked the location. It had good views of whitby, and being up west bank, it was also close to the pavilion and the goth markets, also close to bus stop to catch the tour bus round and down to the Abbey and whitby central. The price was acceptable for the goth weekend and I was shocked I got a room at last minute.

The code didn’t work to get into our room, it took a long time to get hold of somebody and we contemplated sleeping in the car.

The shower was so slow to drain that I spent my entire shower panicking it would flood. One of the dining chairs was literally on its last legs. I had to swap it because it would have collapsed otherwise. The mugs were dirty on arrival which totally knocked me off using one even after it'd been cleaned. Tiny things but collectively they add up, especially when paying such a premium rate for one night.

The location was excellent. The size of the suite was great, much larger rooms than expected. The mattress was very confortable.

The room was cold could not get the heater to work we had to buy a fan heater . No information in the room or even in the entrance hall , as there was no reception just a phone number which no one answered. There was no Internet or phone signal so if you want to use your phone you have to go outside. Would not visit again

We didn’t like the fact we had to contact someone to remotely turn the heater on in the room, when guests are in the temperature should be warm enough at all times it’s part of the price of the room, warm guests should come before anything. Also not everybody is upto date with the fast moving technology so would end up being cold all night not knowing what to do to get heat. This being the only thing.

We were pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness of the room after reading reviews. It was clean comfortable and only a ten minute walk into town, downhill on the way into the centre. Lovely scenery and fresh air next to the sea.

Issue with the heating in the room. Had to call the service number after 10pm due to heater not being turned on which needing turning on remotely. The lady who took the call wasn’t the easiest person to communicate with

it was cold in morning extremely as heating goes off and the shower u couldn’t adjust temperature so it came on scolding hot which wasn’t ideal

it was clean and fairly tidy also good price and nice area right near everything staff were very friendly
