Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaNot the hotel's fault but the noise on the street can be loud late at night.
Friendly helpful staff and great location near good restaurants { Mother India & Ox and Finch}. Great walking in the nearby park and the Kelvinworth Art Museum and History Museum.

United KingdomCommon area entrance very hot. Narrow staircases. Though most city buildings of that era have those.
Clean room. Great pressure for shower, new clean bath. Fair sized room.

United StatesRoom for 4 people, although two beds were in a separate room, it was like a closet. Small space. Second room had little room for things other than the bed. Basement room, street noise.
Great location, clean, wifi fast. Nice bath tub, nice hot water.

United KingdomEntrance and corridors were uncomfortably overheated but windows in our room did open so we were able to cool that down. Some guests may have difficulty with access so be aware of steep, narrow, low clearance stairs down to basement room (this was fine for us). Check in staff reluctant to provide more than 1 key card for triple room, telling us they were running low that night. Grudgingly provided 2 - at £280 for one night - a key card for each adult to have independent access is not much to expect, especially since the main door to the building also needs the card.
Great location for events at Hydro, within easy walking distance. Good size triple room with 3 full size single beds for adults, as well as table and chairs. Clean and comfortable. Best value triple room available in area on a night of high demand due to concert. Lots of great bars, restaurants and a Tesco metro close by. Good transport links to city centre (bus or short walk to low level train). Attractive old building with period features.

United KingdomRoom number 1 was incredibly warm, radiator turned off with no other visible heat source that could be turned off.
Overall OK but very tired decor with dusty curtains. I don't think the room photos are of the Guest house part? The breakfast choice is just about adequate with basic options. Definitely a 2 star place which isn't a bad thing overall. The Hotel part may have better rooms?

United KingdomI tried the breakfast in the main hotel restaurant. It was almost inedible.
We actually stayed in the Argyll Guest House across the street from the hotel. The room was fine and the stone cold water on the morning of our stay was fairly quickly rectified by the receptionis across the road in the main hotel. It was a good sized room with a large and comforable bed. And in a quiet location near the University and the superb Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The really superb Ox and Finch restaurant is about 200 yards down the street.

United KingdomThe tv in the room was not working properly. And the stair up to our room were quite bad in the guest house not to bad for us. Maybe should let people know about them first before they book so the can get a room at the bottom .
It is a good place to stay overnight or for the weekend, having the bus route to the city is good. Near the concert places and near things to do and pubs etc without going into the city . I certainly will stay again thanks

United KingdomThe bed side lamps were not particularly bright enough and not really conducive for reading. The main light was not working at all when we first arrived, which was reported and it was attended to quite quickly. And a charge of £15 per person for breakfast is a bit excessive for a 3 star b&b.
Emma, the receptionist, was super friendly and very helpful. The room, although small, was very clean and tidy and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was great, too.
