Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing at all.
The Aparthotel Adagio Glasgow hotel was close to the city centre and suitably placed. All of my interactions with the receptionists were pleasant and they were very welcoming. My room was excellent. It was spacious, clean, warm and I was surprised to see such a vast range of amenities (a proper and tall fridge, induction hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave, plates, cup and cutlery. There was also the usual tea and coffee making facilities as well as an iron / board and hair dryer. The beds were very comfortable and just right. I can’t comment on the breakfast as chose to have a lie in. I will definitely return to this hotel and look out for similar hotels in this chain. Thank you again.

United KingdomThe kitchen is cramped. It needs space to plug in toaster. A smaller frying pan and kettle would be better. But these are minor quibbles.
I like everything. The rooms are well designed and everything functions well. The views from upper floors are lovely. Kitchen is well equipped with good size fridge. Good quality cutlery and china which is a pleasure. Excellent bathroom with roomy shower, plenty of shelf space, big white towels, heated towel rail and pull out rails to put washed clothes on. Comfy large bed. Large wooden removable hangers in the wardrobe. A rarity. The staff are amazing: really kind and helpful.

United KingdomSadly the mattress and even the pillows were hard, the TV kept losing signal in the evening, but I used my iPad to watch programmes, there were higher chairs for eating and a lower one for the desk but nothing comfortable to relax on watching TV or reading I had to sit on the bed with loads of pillows to be in the right position, caused some knee strain. And sadly I was disturbed by neighbours next to me having a very loud shouting match one midnight to 1.30am which I phoned the reception about and a second one a few nights later at 4.30 in the morning. It was a lovely place but these few niggles just put a dampener on it.
The location, reception, age of building, room set up, fantastic size bed and functional kitchen area.

United KingdomWe booked a one bedroom apartment, and it was beautiful 😍 perfect layout and so well equipped. Bathroom lovely also and good to have a separate lounge area. Staff were lovely and helpful. We also phoned ahead to ask for the Q park discount code to book our car in overnight. This provides about an £8 discount. We had to take the car back out to meet family. On our return, the carpark was all locked up! We phoned the hotel, and one of the gentlemen on duty (tall man) was so good. He explained what we needed to do to get the gate opened so we could park up again. This involves the help machine on the road just opposite the entrance. This was extremely helpful as we had not read anything about it closing. Really lovely rooms and very central.

United KingdomJust minor points. The noise from the apartments above, you could hear the water from the toilet and shower. Couldn’t figure out how to use the air con/heating. There was no information in the room which would have been useful.
Excellent location. Really clean and modern. Friendly staff and great that we could leave luggage.

The Adagio is our favourite hotel in Glasgow! We highly recommend. We usually stay in a one bedroom apartment, which has a spacious double bedroom plus a living area with a double sofa bed and kitchen area. There are facilities to cook (a hob & microwave) and a dining table to eat at. Both the livingroom and bedroom have large smart tvs. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided along with the softest, freshest towels. The rooms are so peaceful and quiet, with air con and huge comfortable pillows and bedding. The staff are always lovely and flexible. We stayed an extra few nights because we loved it so much
