Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe booked this apartment as we needed parking. The photos and answers to questions suggested that the apartment came with a secure free parking space in the apartment complex. This is not the case. When the instructions arrived, it said a parking permit would be provided so that we could park on the road outside. As we had booked a non-refundable stay we just had to go with this although not ideal. My husband had to stay with the car while I went to the apartment to get the permit. Unfortunately when I got in, there was no permit on the table as had been promised. I phoned the owner who said the cleaning lady had forgotten to leave it but would bring it between 6 and 7pm and that we should pay for a parking meter further away in the meantime. This wasn't any help for us as we had to go out before 6pm and we wouldn't be able to move the car when we got back so we had to pay for a 24hr parking space. The only place we could find was in a dodgy looking car park with broken windscreen glass so we were worried about our car all night (luckily it was fine) and it was a 10 minute walk away. So although the apartment was good, the parking situation caused a lot of unnecessary stress. I would also suggest a bigger bed with a bigger duvet would be more comfortable as the bedroom is large enough for a bigger bed.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. It was good value for money.

GermanyThe floor could be cleaner. Also, the TV remote (if you want to use it) is probably able to speak with you if you wait some more weeks.. we washed hands afterwards.. Check-in was quite an adventure. She sent me some informations what was ok. But not where to get the key (as a non-UK dude, i have no idea what Cost Cutter is, sorry), after I ask for the "process" she send me the Infos, but no code which is needed to get the keys etc. In a nutshell, not the end of the world, it was manageable but not comfortable.
Big for an apartment in the UK, especially for that price. So you have a lot of space for your stuff. It seems like a safe place. at least we felt safe the whole time. In general, it was clean (bath, bedroom etc.) Very good starting point to go into the city. Bold taxi approx 5-9pound. A bus station is also nearby. 2 charming pubs are down the street (try it!).

Lovely modern apartment. Very clean an comfortable mod cons loads of tea/coffee/hot chocolate all provided. Very secure entry via a key fob. Lots of free parking. Staff were very apologetic when our boiling needed resetting an we had no hot water this was fixed a few hours later

It would be easier to manage this at the apartment site. Also view from the windows show a derelict industrial site, not welcoming.
