We loved our stay at Appin Bay View. Our host, Mike, is a cheerful storyteller and talented breakfast chef whose scrambled egg & Scottish salmon tower is nothing short of delish. By the way, breakfast is enjoyed with an absolutely beautiful view that shifts throughout the day from sunrise foggy mist to sunset and a twinkling evening coastline. The only constant is the ancient Castle Stalker, which sits prominently on a small island. ***Spoiler Alert--this is the castle featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Our room enjoyed the same incredible view from the 3rd floor. I believe this is the largest of the guest rooms and is spacious, very comfortable, and well-appointed. The bathroom is updated and very clean. We stayed in late July, and the evenings were very cool, but we were very cozy. Appin Bay View is a short distance from Glencoe, Ben Nevis, and Fort William.

The decor is somewhat dated which bothered my wife more than myself. I loved the large size of our room. Our room, the "garden view" suite, would have been more appropriately named the "driveway view" suite.

Breakfast was everything you could desire. The breakfast room has an outstanding view over the nearby bay and castle. Mike, the host, is a very interesting, helpful, and entertaining guy. He has a lot of experience s to share and is quite knowledgeable. A very old pub nearby that serves good food. The weather was warm during our visit. We slept with our window wide open. The nearby road did not bother us with any significant noise.

Mike is a great host. He goes out of his way to take care of the guests. Breakfast was extraordinary with plenty of choices. B&B is ideally located for visits to Glencoe and Oban. The view from the room to the bay and castle is breathtaking.

Best view we have ever seen from our balcony. Property was clean, bright and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Mike and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Bed and bedding luxurious and comfortable. I had taken a hair dryer and straighteners. And on the first day an extension lead was put in the room, so I didn’t have to keep changing the plugs over. This attention to detail was above and beyond. Fresh flowers, and clean fluffy towels every day was more than expected but very welcome. Well done Mike. You have a gem of a place.

Tremendous, generous sized room with excellent breakfast and hospitality from host Mike . The castle views from the balcony and breakfast room are breathtaking. We would definitely stay again, and highly recommend this BnB with easy accesss to the stunning Glencoe region.

Our suite was spacious and had everything we needed. The view out of the windows on castle stalker was amazing. Mike was a really kind host, who took the time to really talk to us. And we lived, that it was only about a 25min drive to glencoe. Next time we are in this area, we will try to stay there again!

NOTHING WRONG AT ALL.

TRIED ALL OF THE BREAKFAST ITEMS AND THEY WERE FANTASTIC. THE ASIAN BREAKFAST WAS ESPECIALLY WELCOME AS MY SON AND I BECAME ALL 'HAGGISED' OUT WITH THE TRAD SCOTTISH BREAKFAST.

All about it was great

Everything about the venue was fantastic. The host and his staff were exceptional. Recommendations for evening meal was spot on. Loved the little bit of Robbie Burns added on as well. Mike is a host like no other. He helped us with problems we had , sorted them out and made sure we were ok.
