The property is simply beautiful - everything is beautifully presented, the beds are all super comfy, the lounge area is lovely, the kitchen diner is also really nice and the teas, coffees, biscuits and jams plus the bread was a lovely surprise. We didn’t get to use the garden as the weather wasn’t great but I’ve been better in July 2020 and I can sag hands down the garden is amazing a total sun trap!

Very comfortable, warm, well appointed and cosy. Owner had provided a very Welcome Pack. The fully enclosed large garden with lovely patio furniture was great for us and our dog. We were able to walk from the cottage to the coast in 20 minutes. Fabulous views to the coast once you walked for five minutes up a local footpath. Kingsdown to Deal is a comfortable amble.

This isolated bungalow was perfect for our requirements. It contained everything we needed and more. The owner, Jo, was easily contactable and made sure everything was alright without being in any way intrusive. The grounds were great for the dog to run around in to his heart's content.

Great location, so quiet, brilliant to be able to have a bungalow as two of us are disabled. Everything was so well maintained, the rooms & kitchen were superb in every way. It felt homely & welcoming, loved the welcome tray in the kitchen with bread, preserves & tea/coffee.

The country lane to the property has a few potholes probably made worse with bad weather. It has been patched up a bit and is okay if you drive slowly. I had a 4x4 so was ok but could be an issue for some cars with lower ground clearance.

A lovely bungalow in a great location. Communication with the host, Jo, was excellent both prior to and during our stay. The enclosed garden is good and in the summer would be nice for evening eating on the terrace. The property was decorated and furnished to a high standard and very clean. It was equipped with everything we needed. We did a couple of local walks directly from the property and also drove to Deal one evening which is only a short distance away.

One or two minor issues: Broken heated mirror in bathroom. Bed slats in front bedroom kept coming out, broken dining chair and hoover. These were minor inconveniences that can easily be fixed.

The location was perfect, very quiet and secluded. The garden was wonderful - the dog loved it. Ideal outside seating area to enjoy the beautiful sunsets with a barbecue for the family! Jo, from Goodwin Lets was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble! Would love to return.

The property is in a very rural location but is about a 20 minute walk to the beach. The walk is through fields, country lanes and by beautiful cottages so it is a pleasure in itself. The bungalow has a fabulous garden with a well stocked games cupboard for indoor and outdoor activities. it is well stocked with books and dvds for bad weather and evenings. I was travelling with an elderly relative and the accessibility of the bungalow and is dog friendly policy is another plus point. the welcome pack was great quality and very welcoming.

Photos did not capture how lovely Appledown was. The furnishings were tasteful and cozy, the landscape was serene and beautiful, and Jo was such a gracious host (providing milk, coffee, and bread on arrival as well as an ample supply of games and books for our- 4- children). We were absolutely delighted with our stay there!

everything was perfect, nice comfy beds, bathroom nice big bath and the walk in shower was great, kitchen had everything you could possibly need just add food, front room large tv log burner settees were large and comfy, back garden/lawn was huge with decking and patio table and chairs, location was nice and quiet. everything internally was clean bright and modern loved it. definitely stay again

The only very small point is that there could have been a few more big towels for the bathroom.

The bungalow is lovely and modern with a lovely big garden and stunning views across the countryside. There are beautiful walks directly from the house. Jo was incredibly helpful and friendly.
