Great value accommodation, the room was fitted out extremely well. Wooler is a great location for walking and exploring the Northumberland coast and there is a range of cafes, restaurants and pubs that provide excellent meals.

Would have loved a bath!

Lovely room with great facilities. The drying room and washing facilities were very helpful after a long day hiking. Easy checkin and appreciated the breakfast recommendation

Providing the ID for automatic check-in was challenging. The hotel had to help in the end, which they did very well.

Amazing room with cute kitchenette. Spotlessly clean. Fabulous bathroom with nice quality toiletries. Really tasteful touches and an artistic decorative styling. Loved it! We will definitely stay here again as we visit Northumberland often.

Nothing not to like

Great location, perfect for St Cuthbert’s Way especially with the provision of a boot room, washer & dryer. The recent renovation has been done really well - bright airy room & excellent en suite. Good choice of artwork too!

Nothing about the rooms, however the front door didn’t always close shut; you had to make sure it clicked; otherwise anyone could walk in.

The room was beautiful furnished with a super comfortable bed. It had the small touches that were ideal and even had a coffee machine which was much appreciated in the morning.

The front door bangs quite loud - but thankfully not too often.

The only thing I would say is that the room I had was quite small. It was absolutely fine for one or two nights but one of the bigger rooms would be better for longer stays. The price I paid totally reflects this and I don't have any issues as I was only there for two nights. Also, as a smaller room, it didn't have a microwave. This would have been useful as the resturants in Wooler can be booked up on a Friday & Saturday night. This is no criticism of the accommodation itself - which was very nice. All of this information is clear before booking - these are just just things to consider.

Great setting. Wooler is a lovely little town and the property has been well renovated and nicely decorated. Communication prior to my stay was great. The check in process was simple. Nice clean, quiet room.

The only tiny thing is the side blinds didn’t reach the windowsill. It made getting my little girl to sleep with the light nights a challenge.

The parking could be an issue

This was perfect start to finish. We stayed here for one night. Needing somewhere close to Chillingham castle. The self check in was easy to use and a first for myself and friend. The room was on the top floor which was not a problem for us. Lovely clean decor, spacious and light. The single beds and covers etc were soooo comfortable. There is also a little kitchen area with coffee machine, kettle, and microwave. The shower room was immaculate and perfect for what we needed. With the added extras of some lovely shampoo, shower gel etc. Defiantly be back to exore more of the area.

Rooms aren’t dark as blinds don’t fully cover windows. Think car parking may become an issue in future as there are other properties converting to holiday lets.

The room was cold on first entering, but easy to use heating controls warmed it up fairly quickly.

The self check in was excellent with easy to use digital PIN code locks, both on the main entrance and room door. The location on the high street was easy to find and parking opposite no problem whatsoever. The room itself was more than adequate; kettle, coffee pod machine and mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. It was also very quiet with no noise from outside.
