My only critique is the breakfast. It was pretty limited, especially if you can’t eat certain foods. The coffee was good though.

Beautiful design and building. The club suite is gorgeous, the bed incredibly comfortable and the bath wonderfully deep. The bar area is very pleasant and we enjoyed sitting by the fire.

We did feel that this stay, that our room (Club Suite) was quite expensive, especially for a mid-week stay @£803 for two nights. However, there were 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) and we did still enjoy our stay of course!

Just love the whole feeling of the building, the friendly hosts that we have had both times, delicious cocktails and beautiful rooms.

The breakfast service was very slow, there was only one member of staff for the whole room. He was very nice but just could not manage all the jobs alone so we cancelled breakfast for the second day. This could be improved with more staff.

The hotel is wonderful, the décor is beautiful and it is a very luxurious environment. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and the hotel is a short taxi from local attractions.

Car parking outside is limited to four hours though I used the nearby shopping centre which is only 5mins away and £15 for a full day.

The relaxed nature of the hotel. The quality of the stay was superb. I really liked the internal design of the hotel and the attention to detail in the rooms which covered everything from phone charges to a well stocked fridge and bar. The lounge was very comfortable with its open gas fireplace and relaxing furniture. Future plans were shared to increase this and the food offer later in the spring. the information on local restaurants and attractions was helpful and the the bases of our stay.

Nothing! The full restaurant is not yet open until the Spring so a simple but tasty breakfast is served in the bar area by the host so will look forward to another stay when we will be able to enjoy the full works!

Everything about this hotel is spot on. It was super easy to park around the nearby square with free parking from 6pm - 8am. The old building is just beautiful and the decor is so unique, fun and stylish. Our host was super friendly and welcoming and he made great cocktails! Our room was so comfortable.

The property is absolutely stunning! The images on the website are exactly what you find when you get there, it’s very artistic, beautifully styled with a wonderful attention to detail. The bar downstairs is very relaxed with a great selection of cocktails and a fabulous old fashioned.

We were on the first floor and could hear doors banging repeatedly in reception late at night and early in the morning. It meant we slept terribly and it felt that it could easily be avoided

The Artist residence is a decent enough place to stay and is centrally located. The photos on the internet are flattering of the hotel, it has a shabby chic decor, but it's a little on the ropey side. The staff are great and very helpful

Small bedroom felt quite claustrophobic. Twin beds - did not make bed up as double as promised. Noisy. Too many notices telling you not to take things! Think breakfast should be included considering high price.

There is a building site nearby - bit noisy. Woken up in the night by a loud drunken conversation outside. Neither of which were hotels fault. Room a bit small. Neighbourhood felt a bit edgey

Room so small you had to squeeze around the bed, not good value at all! pool of water on bedroom floor when I arrived, and the lock to the door came off in hands when I tried to turn it. the noise levels were ridiculous. I appreciate you are staying somewhere there is a bar / restaurant but I’ve never know noise levels like it, into the early hours of the morning. I understand you get noise from people in the rooms next door, but it was like having my bed in the actual bar!

Quirky property, has loads of potential, some nice touches in room, friendly guy checked me in. Easy to walk to town
