How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Carpet was ill fitting in the room as well as the curtains

Difficult to use basin in the bathroom. Banged my head on the cupboard above the basin!!!
Very convenient location to Paddington Station. Very good to have lift. Offers rooms inward facing so no traffic noise, friendly staff.

The room was very small, but that is normal in London. The window was very small with a view on a wall. There was no breakfast. The lamp beside the bed was broken, the TV had bad connections and mostly sells channels. The bed was through.

The floor in the room was crooked, and I thought it was weird. The water pressure in the shower was not ideal.
The location was great—good nearby restaurants. The beds were comfortable enough, and the rooms were warm.

Window opened to busy street so had to keep curtains closed.
Very close to train station made it easy to get about. Room was a bit run down but safe and comfortable.

The flooring felt very "soft" like weak floor boards. The windows would fly open if there was a breeze. We completely lost power to one room at one point.
They did turn down service and you could tell they came in a cleaned up well.

Water flow on the shower was really weak which is a shame becuase the shower size was pretty good. Rooms looked pretty dated.
Great location, affordable. Decent size room. Pretty good value for money overall, just don't expect to get more than what you have paid for.

Smallest bathroom I've ever seen/used, no hot water through the sink (although excellent in the shower!) Room seemed grubby - carpet dirty and bare where the radiator had obviously been changed, 3 mismatched lampshades with one missing a light bulb, peeling sticky back plastic used as on the headboard, silly placement of beds with the sockets directly behind the pillows. Concerns about the electric cabling, with the wired hairdryer cable through the drawer. Curtains were hanging off the rail and didn't close properly. We did not use the precariously hanging fan attached to the wall. Decor was below par. Kettle kept overflowing boiling water even with a minimal amount of water. Missing battery cover on the TV remote.
Location was excellent, as was the range of shops, food establishments and the underground:overground services. Triple room upgrade (double bed and a single.) Friendly staff.

The hotel room is very small and cramped and not as shown in the photos at all. Moreover had to climb down many stairs to the room as there was no lift. Also, the hotel does not refill shower gel and other products each day.
The bathroom was cleaned well everyday.Location is good near Paddington station.

The bedsheets had stains on them sadly. Not the worst I’ve seen but it may bother some. My biggest issue was bedbugs. I must’ve killed more than a dozen and I know I should’ve probably mentioned it to the staff but I didn’t so I’m hoping when they read this they can rectify it for future customers! Besides this the place was great otherwise.
Location! I primarily walk everywhere so transportation wasn’t really an issue but the hotel is literally a few steps within the Paddington station. The staff were very friendly; always greeted me with a smile whenever I pass them.

The rooms are very tight in space and very small. They need to maintain the basics like the toilet seats was loose and moving , room wall lamp fused. Condiments were not replenished upon cleaning. 1Cup was old and cracked. No water provided as welcome.
The location was amazing. The room was clean except the carpets were old and worn out and toilet was clean and modern too. Rooms depend on the front or back side. We had the front room so it was fine and airy with a cleaner View.
