Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomInexperienced bar staff letting small screaming children climb over the bar. Only one type of towel for a couple not one each. Rubbish not emptied daily from room. Broken bathroom door. Poor room sound insulation. Huge gap under main door.
Pool and Gym were excellent. Room was spacious. Reception staff very welcoming and attentive.

United KingdomDisorganisation of staff, lack of leadership and management . For example, one young man behind the bar when it was very busy. There was no time to clear tables and he was running out of glass’. This was not the fault of the young barman because he never stopped serving and being polite even when a drunk customer was being very sarcastic to him. A young member of management came by but did not offer any assistance. A young girl arrived later but the rush was over by then.
Good facilities such as pool, large grass area for dogs, the fact that dogs are allowed. I liked the variety of seating areas in the lobby and outside on the patio.

United KingdomFront Desk staff friendly and very helpful. Bar,restaurant and serving staff were fairly inexperienced in high standard hospitality. Although not unfriendly, they lacked finesse and customer awareness. This was particularly noticeable in bar service, which seemed understaffed with inexperienced staff members. Possibly this was because it was a weekend, but the hotel did not seem particularly busy. We were attending a charity banquet and the food seemed like 3663 catering packs, rather than chefs prepared in the kitchens. However, breakfast was of good quality and quantity, but let down by slow clearing of tables and refilling of items on the buffet trays.
Nice layout and spaces to sit and relax

United KingdomThought the food not breakfast was mediocre Eg my mushroom veggie burger had a very thin slice of cheese So do my grand son Medium quality Break fast was good but rationed ie pastires would run out and staff state there are non Then they appear much later For four star hotel would expect tea and coffee service at break fast but it was self service and queues . Room service person was not given tray for food and struggled with our order He must of dropped some as some of our food was on the floor in the corridor Plate Of food was slipped over edge and piles so we knew the plate had gone arry Again mediocre half a popadom ? Soft . Bat was good with good selection of drinks and decent price Staff worked hard and are under staffed hence struggling with tasks Our room had no plug sockets by the bed so an extension had to be rigged up to use a air med machine. Cannot plug mobiles etc near to the bed Nice room though and good cleaning service Would stay there again but would have to be for less per night and would eat out

United KingdomAfter booking Q Hotels emailed to say that they were now charging £25 for taking a dog - previously no charge. I visit the hotel regularly, and have no problem paying a supplement, but it should be clear on the booking form. Still good value however.

United KingdomStaff in the restaurant on Sunday night were rude, they looked as though they hated the job. Not one smile and looked as if they were arguing. Spa day lunch was horrendous, we got told it was tomato soup, Caesar salad wrap, and Eton mess instead my daughter got Caesar salad and a fruit salad.
Pool, spa and sauna was great. It was my daughters birthday and left a card and little spa gift in her room which was lovely

United KingdomThe gym did not open on time. We were waiting outside for over 30 minutes. This was on a Saturday morning. There was only one jacuzzi. Would have expected a huge hotel Like that to have at least two. Apart from the above, I enjoyed my stay
It was good and breakfast was ok. Not a lot of variety but still enough yo make me and my family happy. I will definitely stay there again.

United KingdomThe room although well equipped was a little dated. No socket next to the bed made it difficult to charge appliances and use them as an alarm. Although the food was great, the service was slow and a little painful at times in the restaurant and the bar. Tables are not cleaned in a timely manner - staff would walk past dirty plates on tables on their way back to the kitchen or stand chatting at the bar area rather than collect empty glasses. I waited over an hour on one evening for my dinner. When it came it was great.
Great location next to the M20. Wonderful welcome by the reception - who were very helpful. Large room with a very comfy bed. The gym is very well equipped and pretty quiet first thing in the morning. Walkable to the Ashford Warren for a pleasant morning walk. All the food that I had was of a high standard.
