Wasn’t very clean! Kitchen was a bit tired and damaged in places. Had to wash cutlery, crockery and glasses before using them. Rubbish bins full before we even could put our rubbish in. Outside yard neglected, could be a lovely little sitting out space but eyesore of graffitied shed door with no roof not very appealing! Bought cleaning wipes to wipe down sink and toilet before using them.

The old kitchen range was a nice feature and that was about it! Good size living room and good size bedrooms. Clean fresh bedding and towels Location handy for visiting family in surrounding areas and good accommodation was perfect friendly

On arrival, there was no key left in the key safe, could not get through to owner via phone call eventually received a text to state in a meeting what was up. Explained our situation, No reply until her husband rang to say the cleaners must have taken the key and that he will find another key as they were not in the area, travelled 4 hours with a stressed 2 year old and had to wait for over an hour. When returning to the property the key safe number was then changed and we couldn’t get into the property again tried to phone again and no answer. Eventually got through to the husband again and he informed us he had been and put a key in but has changed the key safe number when I asked what the number he responded with the house hasn’t been cleaned and all he can recommend is sending bank details and they will refund one night. Asked for the new number as we cannot be standing outside any longer with a toddler, on arrival into the property it was clear 1 room has been used and there was faeces in the toilet, rubbish still in the kitchen. Informed the husband who said cleaners are on the way. Left the property once the cleaner had arrived and returned to fresh linen however still unclean, floors throughout the house were filthy, living room never seen a mop very sticky and black when wiped with a wipe. Fag ash in the bathroom, what looked like poo smeared across the small bedroom wall. Mould in the main front bedroom across the ceiling, skirting’s thick in dust throughout the house. Facilities not brilliant, toilet doesn’t flush unless you flush it around 6 times continuously, we woke up to no hot water so no one could shower it was freezing cold, informed owner who had it fixed within a couple of hours. Also, no back door key so no access into the back garden, couldn’t take bins out of which were lots of bin bags piled up in the yard which must of been from various different stays. Not received any refund as of yet. Unsure whether the process is actually going through.

The location was okay but other than that nothing else

Kitchen and bathroom left dirty, crockery missing, cracked wine glass, bedside lamps not working, door handle not screwed into door, no bin upstairs, not even in bathroom. Grim back yard.

Spaceous terrace house. Comfy settee, good WiFi, bedding clean. Plenty of hot water. Neighbours quiet. food shop round the corner, lovely beaches in driving distance. Has potential.

Needed a little more info on how the bins and recycling work. Washing machine not great and there's no dishwasher or hairdryer which I think is fine in a cheaper place.

Extremely reasonable cost for 2 nights for a family of 5. There was plenty of space - could have got an extra child in the big double if needed. Bedding all clean and place was clean. Rubbish in backyard was picked up. It is a basic concrete backyard but that was fine. Parking right outside was easy. It's a wide street but not really busy. Co-op and takeaways nearby. Hirst park 10 mins walk is great for kids with play park and multi- sports court and free tennis courts. Ashington isn't a tourist place , ex-mining town but 2 miles from beach, it's a very handy location.

The back yard had not been cleaned and had cigarette butts lying around everywhere. The two wheelie bins were completely full on arrival and the previous guest had left there rubbish bags and boxes left lying next to them. We had two small children with us but we couldn’t let them play in yard until we had swept it and tried to clean it all up. Inside cleaning products were left out lying on the carpet at the top of the stair. No bin was provided in the bathroom. Only two toilet rolls were provided for a six night stay with five people. We had to buy our own. No rubbish bags were provided, we had to buy our own. No spare washing up liquid was provided, tiny bit left in bottle on arrival. Dust on sideboards visible. Hoover was completely full and blocked so I did not work properly. it had not been emptied in a long time and suction was rubbish so I do not understand how the cleaner could effectively clean the place with it like that. I had to empty the hoover to get it working properly. Property lies on a main road with buses etc going up and down. Quite a noisy route. Very heavy duvets provided for this time of year. Was very warm at night time and no fans were provided so the windows had to be left open to sleep, this meant listening to noise outside from neighbours partying and vehicles.

Good access to local stores and super markets.

None of the bed side lights or side lights worked. The door handle had no screws and kept falling off on the single bedroom which was very unsafe for the room used by my child. Our car was vandalised in the street directly outside the property under the street light. The bins in the yard were over flowing and piles of bin bags around them attracting flies and vermin. A derelict shed with no roof on in the yard also piled with rubbish and covered in graffiti in bright green paint. The house also smelt of cigarettes and pets and an unidentifiable aroma.

    Large comfy bed. Nice towels.
