I liked that breakfast was served at 8:30 ish and that checkout was 10:30 ish. This was the prevailing attitude of the Aydon which made for a very comfortable stay.

Decor a bit dated BUT this DIDNOT impact on us at all.

It was extremely comfortable and very clean. The host ( Arthur) was a lovely gentleman and couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was to much trouble. The location was excellent, and the breakfast was great, more coffee and toast just brought out!

There was nothing to dislike. Real value for your money.

Breakfast was more than adequate for our needs and our bedroom was clean with ensuite facilities. Ample private car parking. Ideally located with a short walk (5-10 minutes) to the town centre, shops, pubs and restaurants. Good base from which to visit near by villages, towns, cities, castles, etc. Highly recommended if you are thinking of a short stay.

We decided to stay in on the Sunday night with a bottle of wine, as we were both shattered after a long day, couldn't get the TV on atall, not a big problem but it would of been nice to watch a film, WiFi is not very strong at the top of the house

I'm sorry to have forgotten both of your names, Mrs was there to great us with a warm welcome , Mr we wet each morning for our breakfast, what a lovely jolly man you are, my hubby is a vegetarian, so Mr made sure he had some vegetarian sausages in for the next morning, all good quality food, our room was at the top of the house, bed and pillows were very comfortable, A Huge shout out to the house keeper, you do a fantastic job, not a spot of dust or muck to be seen anywhere , shower was also spotless

The bedrooms are light and airy and a good size. The house and garden are well maintained and in easy walking distance of the town centre.

The duvet was too hot for us but there were blankets available in the room, which were fine. We didn't spot how to open the window until day 2, it isn't very obvious to short people.

Shower was difficult to regulate the temperature but that’s not a complaint it was just difficult.

Clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there including fresh milk in a flask for a nice cup of tea or coffee.

Lovely old house not too far from town centre. Exceptionally clean. Arthur is such a lovely man (never met the Lady of the house) but I'm sure she will be just as nice as Arthur. We met Barney the Old English Sheepdog. He's awesome, a lovely big, friendly dog who is no bother at all. Breakfast was delicious. We were made to feel at home and can highly recommend Aydon House.

Everything. Great place to stay. Super hosts. Spotless rooms and delicious breakfast. Very close to Alnwick - only 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Good car park. Easy travel to lots of interesting places. Highly recommended.

Lovely hosts. Loved having real milk not pots of uht👍🏻 +normal tea bags in a little pot+a teapot…yay! Happy days. Fantastic breakfast. Location fab…everything accessible on foot in a few minutes. Right next to Lidl which is handy.

As it's an older property there wasn't many sockets in the room for charging phones etc

Lovely old house with nice gardens ,car park out back ,main road outside a bit noisy bring earplugs ,room was was lovely Nd clean fresh milk brought in daily not those little cartons breakfast was lovely served each morning by Arthur himself lovely man very chatty Nd helpful had a good stay and would go back again would I recommend yes definitely

I made this booking for close friends from Sri Lanka who were coming to Alnwick for a few days and I wnated to let people know they thought this accommodation was absolutely superb. They loved being here. The house is clean, cosy and has all one needs for a stay. the hosts are absolutely delightful and make everyone feel so much at home.

Great place. Very comfortable. Very good breakfast. Lovely host. Ideal location for the town, castle and gardens. Felt very at home and cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely go back.
