My shower didn’t do hot water..

Beautiful old building, my room was huge and well decorated. Lovely comfy bed, good breakfast.

The building had character and furnished to the period. The proprietors went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Met at reception with a cup of tea, helped carry luggage to room, superb breakfast. Really made us feel welcome.

For us the stairs and getting in teh shower but as two 70 year olds that’s our issue and we now know to ask for a room with a shower ,,so nothing

The owners were lovely tea and cake as soon as we arrived breakfast perfect and served in a lovely room ,parts of teh hotel look a little tired but the welcome more than made up for it …we did struggle a little with the stairs and the bath ..our problem and when we stay again as we have friends there we meet we shall ask for a room on the first floor with a shower ..but for a great placed hotel with good service parking in the centre of the town and very reasonable priced you can’t fault it ..we would definitely stay again

The room size was much larger than I usually get as a single traveller. Very comfortable king size bed, a 2 seater sofa, an armchair and a dressing table. Plenty of tea and coffee and breakfast was included in the price. There was a very good selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, juices and a cooked breakfast. The host was exceptionally helpful as he allowed an early check in as I was attending a wedding and needed to change, then he gave me a lift to a pick up point to save me calling a taxi.

We regretted not staying for more than one night but will stay there again in the future, otherwise there was nothing that we didn't like.

We were greeted upon arrival in a very friendly manner, escorted to our rooms with the offer of our luggage being carried for us. Our rooms had more facilities than expected including an iron & ironing board and were very cosy. Within a short walking distance were restaurants and the town centre shopping area was only a 5 -10 minute walk away from the hotel. Breakfast was superb and very well presented.

Warmly welcomed with tea. Good size comfortable room with bath. Appreciated the retained features of a period house. Beautifully presented, freshly cooked breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, great location and very comfortable room.

The staff were most welcoming and tea/coffee on arrival. The room was very comfortable and clean. Great breakfast in the morning. And fantastic location only minutes from town centre. We will be staying again on our next trip in September.

We stayed in the Alfreda room and there was a terrible ticking type noise that kept us awake for the majority of the night. The toilet seat was loose and the tap on the wash hand basin was also very loose and turned when using it.

The property was in a great location and only a short walk to the town centre.

Nothing I didn’t like but the shower needed an upgrade

A lovely hotel , complimentary drink on arrival which was very unexpected but most welcome ! The hotel was clean and well equipped for all our needs. The breakfast was excellent and the staff weee very attentive . Would highly recommend x

When we booked hotel website said they served fine dining which was one reason we chose hotel, but having booked we were told this was mo longer the case, which was disappointing. Their website still referred to dining on the day we vacated so this needs to be removed
