The breakfast buffet was disappointing and disorganised. No fruit juice, limited cereal and bread options, no yoghurts, cold meats or cheeses as would have been expected on a continental buffet. Room was not serviced on second day of our stay although management did offer us a small discount when advised of this.

We arrived 4.30pm,the bar area was empty after a busy afternoon. It appeared the staff had taken a well earned break.Tables were left unclean,glasses and bottles where everdent on many empty tables… Not a good first impression. I can add this was not the norm for the rest of our stay.

The bedroom was large warm and welcoming.The funky and quality authentic vibe was a real bonus. Stylish and spacious,room 7 had great views of the church!

Christmas decorations were very poor inside and. It very festive. Staff were pleasant enough but seemed a bit inexperienced.

A few little things: there should be someone on the reception all the time, rather than customers standing around for minutes and hoping someone from the bar catches your eye. The floors are also uneven upstairs and there was only a thin sheet separating the bedroom from the bathroom in the deluxe double room we were in.

The breakfast was very good, the staff were generally friendly and it's a very nice building from the outside. Quite affordable too.

I liked the location and pricing i thught was good. Very close to downtown and within wlking distance to the train. Although the rooms are above the bar dnning area I never heard any noise from there.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming but during dinner service the attention just dropped off and we had to wait half an hour for our mains to be cleared and asked if we wanted dessert. The. Ended up paying as we left.

The rooms were quirky cool and the shower was really good. Air con in 30 degree heat made me want to move in.

There were no problems at all. The road is a little busy but it was not an issue for us.

The staff at this pub/hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We met non-resident friends for dinner and it was excellent, we all enjoyed our meals. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of it. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There is a good TV. The bathroom was huge and we had a lovely walk-in shower. There is aircon in the room (room 7), which for a pub is pretty unusual and very welcome.

A little bit more attention from the cleaning team needed. Skirting boards dusty and carpets/floors throughout need a good hoover. However, it did not spoil our stay.

Lovely rooms with everything needed in a hotel room. Full lengths mirror, make up mirror on desk, iron and board a nice touch. Excellent shower. Great staff, lots of smiles, made our stay most enjoyable.

Fantastic food menu and great quality food. Big, spacious bedroom. Dedicated parking for hotel guests, free of charge. Very helpful staff who helped me out when I left something behind in the bedroom after check-out.

There was a staff member who seemed like a manager who was working on her laptop next to the check-in desk. I thought she was working there rather than in an office so she could keep an eye on guests however apparently not, as she gave us a good ignoring to on two different occasions. Very strange approach to customer service! Luckily anther lady arrived who was super helpful.

The room was fabulous, we were very happy. Loved the bed, the decor and the bathroom especially. It was great to have the Nespresso coffee machine, especially as, sorry to say this, but the breakfast coffee was a bit ropey! The air con worked like a dream, which has not been our experience anywhere else recently. My Eggs Benedict for breakfast was divine. Unfortunately my husband's sausages in his full English had barely been introduced to the frying pan so had to back, but NEVER judge a place by one thing.
