Petra the host met us on arrival and let us in to the croft and once we walked in it was absolutely beautiful and sparkling clean it is much bigger than photos on booking.com kitchen area had everything you can think of washing machine micro air fryer cupboards stocked with every kitchen item you can imagine and games dvd and local attraction details the living area and sleeping area again was stunning with a wood fire burner double bed enough lights to supply Blackpool for the illuminations a smart tv the bathroom was perfect larger than most bathrooms it had a walk in shower supplied with fresh bath towels face towels hand towels etc the garden area was also beautiful and secluded lots of plants and flowers

Me and my doggies loved our stay at this beautiful cottage. The gardens were so lovely & the cottage was decorated beautifully. it was clean, spacious & bright! It has a wood burning fire which was just lovely on the evening. It felt so homely & cosy & it had everything you needed for a perfect stay ! Plenty of books & games and information on walks & places to eat! The host was warm, friendly & helpful ! I didn’t want to leave !

Weak shower and weak WiFi.

Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, fabulous log stove. Very good for exploring local area. Most wonderful garden and birds all looked after by the very friendly and helpful hosts.

There was nothing that we would change, it was perfect.

We loved everything, Petra was a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful. The cottage had character and was warm and cosy, it was very well equipped, there was a good selection of books to read. The location was ideal to explore the local area which has plenty to see and do. The holiday was very good value for money. We will certainly be looking to book again in the not to distant future. An added bonus was the private parking space directly outside the cottage.

Our only criticism really was that the bathroom was chilly for having a shower if you are elderly.

We received a warm welcome from our host. Loved having a log fire, particularly as it was cool in the room albeit the heating was on all day. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and the bathroom had a walk in shower. The area was stunning with some scenic walks and drives. We will definitely be back.

Nothing it was perfect

An absolutely beautiful spacious cottage with garden, a fully equipped kitchen, bookcase full of books, games and dvds, a lovely en-suite bathroom and big bedroom/living area with log burner. Honestly, it was a perfect calming retreat. In a great location for lots of walks and beaches. I loved my stay so much and Petra was such a fabulous, helpful but unobtrusive host that I’m already planning when I can return.

There is nowhere in the nearby town to walk to for a drink or something to eat.

The cottage was adorable, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well set up and the garden area is extremely pleasant. Ideal location for a base to go out there and explore Creetown, Newton Stewart, Wigtown, Kirkcudbright and other areas. Petra is a brilliant host!

The location and the garden were lovely. Petra was very welcoming. The living space is cosy and the kitchen and dining space look out onto a lovely garden area. Great views and quick access to Galloway Forest.
