Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomObviously it’s a farm so take your wellies ! And it’s out in middle of nowhere so take plenty of refreshments ! The roads leading up do let it down as they are quite bad . The barn is old and does creek a lot upstairs but think that’s part of the charm x could be less cluttered downstairs but that’s a personal opinion x
It was lovely x quite area x surrounded by beautiful views x lots of lovely animals including pigs , alpacas , llamas , sheep , dogs x the hot tub was a great addition the kids loved it and lots of fresh white towels were left for us to use x big barn house x en suite x lovely large garden area with dome and decking and lovely fire x

It was the best place to relax for the holidays it was luxurious. It was more beautiful than I expected. It was very wonderful, as if I was living moments from ancient times, like in movies. We did not want to leave it. I hope that i go back to it again. I recommend everyone to go to Barn cottage to get a wonderful relaxing moment with the beautiful view and hot tub.

United KingdomAs its a working farm there are men working on the farm, they are not very people friendly. But I suppose its not they're job. They came across as rude, maybe they were having a bad day.
Beautiful little cottage, the hot tub was amazing. Animals are so friendly to the point they were getting jealous of more animals having more attention. Clean, all amenities in full working order. The views were just gorgeous. You can walk around to see all the animals and the elder gentleman who runs it was happy to show us all around. I would 100% recommend.

IrelandThe pictures are possible from 10 of so years ago. The whole place needs a bit of love and a good clean up around the place. Lots of discarded construction items, and random unfinished building works. The dog kennels propped up against the cottage, and the parking is all over the place for guests and the workers. If they cleaned up around the place and sorted out the parking, got new bedding and put a big of life into the place is would really be a 5* stay. Hopefully, they take the feedback on board and spruce the place up so as it is visitor focused
A lovely cottage in the middle of the Welsh countryside. This stay had so many quirky hidden gems, beautiful scenery, animals and of course, the hot tub!

United KingdomThe weather... Unfortunately one of those things. Because we were quite high it was incredibly misty. Amazing views on a great day. Perhaps could do with a sign at the end of the concrete road as we were u ale to see further than 20 foot in front
Beautiful views. The hot tub was large and very comfortable. Logs were provided for the fire. Location quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and we had all that we needed

United KingdomDue to icy conditions running water was an issue. Having to keep taps running constantly so we didn’t loose water was annoying but understandable. Driving there in the dark wasn’t easy due to icy roads.
Great place, peaceful and secluded. It had scenic views, comfortable sleep and log fire and hot tub were exactly what was needed on a cold winters night. Got to see the farm animals, and the host went out of his way to accommodate us.

United KingdomJust a minor thing, garden could do with a little maintainence, potted plants everywhere, empty pots. Didn't spoil our trip but I presume this would be addressed for the warmer weather.
The view was outstanding. The hot tub was well appreciated. Everything we needed there, like washing up liquid, pepper etc Seeing the alpacas/llamas and emus was a lovely experience. Would definitely go back.

United KingdomSome of the artwork and ornaments weren't to my taste but that's just a personal preference.
It is very peaceful. We enjoyed the good girl (dog) living in her pen on the side of the house who we visited a few times. The hot tub is nice and big, very close to the front door to run inside after getting out. Nice and cosy inside the barn, plenty of space, has everything you need.

United KingdomCan't say anything we didn't like about Barn Cottage. Only one thing to help visitors find the cottage, the sign for Coynant Farm should include the Cottages names, to make it easier to find, as all my party drove passed the entrance to the cottage, as were all looking for the Barn cottage sign Not a bad complaint, but something to think about . Other wise first class experience of a cottage holiday.
A perfect location for a few days break, facilities were excellent, the outdoor facilities were just great, just a perfect cottage to stay in, so near to nature and the animals running free, was just lovely to see. Recommend Barn Cottage definitely for a get away break

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing
This stay was above what we expected. Barn cottage was beautiful inside as well as out. There was nothing that could be deemed negative at all. I had an amazing weekend relaxing, in fabulous surroundings. Not too far from home but could have been anywhere in the country. abundant in facilities and practicality. The living area was comfortable cozy and social, the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms superb. Cleanliness was spot on. Garden was incredible with a view to die for a dome pod to shelter from showers at dinner time and a hot tub that we made the most off . Will definitely be returning.

United KingdomAbit in the sticks and a bumpy ride in. A car is a must. Local shop few miles away. Felt alittle awkward waiting for our deposit back while the owners were checking the house after we'd stayed. Also we were interrupted a few times by the owners/workers.
Stunning property with amazing views! Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Facilities were great. Made use of the hottub and outdoor dome. Beds were comfortable and the animals were a bonus. Especially the sheepdog pups.

United KingdomThe location was a surprise, being on a working farm we found the site to be a little ramshackle in some places, particularly alongside the access track leading down to the farm (You need a good car). The garden of the property was becoming a little over-grown, which could have been taken care of by simply mowing the grass. Also there is a pen containing goats immediately next to the Cottage, and unfortunately this did lead to seeing a rat within the Cottage on one occasion (Not something that worried us, but not ideal and something that could have been avoided). Lastly the shower did leak (Didn't cause us a problem, but certainly worth keeping an eye on).
The cottage and hot-pool were very good, although decorated a little older than we expected. Cleanliness inside was excellent. Having no telephone service was a big bonus for us - allowed us to actually rest. Proximity to The Gower is brilliant: many beaches that are well worth visiting.
