The settee was quite low and not comfortable, OK for a short sit down, but not for a couple of hrs, my back was sore

We liked the very rural position of Barns Bothy. Our foster dog, Rosie, took full advantage of the walled garden for ball throwing very safely and walks from the door and in the small arboreteum opposite the property. Lots of owls calling at night and we spotted a red squirrel! The road to Barns Bothy is a bit bumpy but the scenery is just lovely. The "Tweed Walk" runs very close by and is a delight. Barns Bothy is very comfy and everything was there for our stay. Thank you.

Very pleasant stay in beautiful and quiet surroundings. Breakfast & some supplies + bottle of wine on arrival. Would certainly recommend and return in the near future.

Bathroom sink and mirror need replacing. It would have been really useful to have known in advance re what food you were providing cos we doubled up on things, and it would have been especially good to know what coffee machine you had so we could have brought our own pods.

We loved our stay at Barns bothy! Beautiful location and the property itself was lovely and well equipped for a 2 person stay. The breakfast items provided was a nice touch and communication prior to the stay was excellent.

Nothing really, would like to have stayed longer.

Amazing setting, wonderful place, friendly owner, great walks, beautiful building. The porch was awesome to contain our dog whilst she relaxed following a superb walk. The fire was so cozy, the bath was amazing and the facilities were perfect. Will be back as soon as we are able.

Hard to find an exact property as they are all look pretty the same so we had to ask for help from locals. I belive that bed is only double,larger would be ideal but it would be hard to get around.

Lovely little place, well set out. Lots of nice little extras. Owners very welcoming and charming. Absolutely stunning grounds and countryside, very peaceful. Village of Peebles is lovely, only 10 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend visiting Barns Bothy.

there was a smell of kerosene from the boiler in the vestibule which cleared when the front door was left open for a little while. other than that it was perfect for what we needed.

it’s position and it was tastefully decorated, with quality linen and towels. the welcome goodies like biscuits, milk, bread and eggs was a lovely touch.

Genuinely cannot think of anything to improve. Having read the reviews others had left before we visited, the owners have taken feedback on board.

Bothy Barns is a fabulous property that provided a great weekend away for us and our dog. All that we needed was there. We were exceptionally comfortable, great bed and bedding, with welcome essentials :) Being in the property felt very private. Location was great for where we wanted to visit. The instruction on how to get to and access the property was very helpful.

Slightly worried initially about dogs barking next door but they were fine when I got used to it. Keeper was very good at shushing them.

Really well decorated, great styling, had everything we needed, very comfortable, high quality bathroom , excellent dog walking straight from the door.

The shower was not as powerful as it looked but that's us being really, really, picky and being used to a power shower.

The location was amazing, especially things like the arboretum The scenery was stunning. The little extras on arrival were a nice surprise. The accommodation was everything we needed and clean.

Cold water very brown, only usable for washing. Wood burner belched smoke when first lit meaning we had to open door and windows for an hour to get rid of the acrid smell. No companion tools for use with fire making it difficult and dangerous to tend. No instructions for any facilities in the property. The cottage backs on to a courtyard where businesses are run and vehicles parked making it noisy last thing at night and early in the morning. Dogs are kept in large pens in the garden of the next door cottage and they were quite vocal in the mornings. Owner didn't manage to visit unfortunately.

Cottage was lovely in a scenic position. Plenty of walks nearby.
