Extremely friendly people. Hassle free check in and check out. The receptionist and the housekeeping need special appreciation for their efforts to make the guests feel comfortable. They were minutes away from any requests, whether it be fresh towels or tea and coffee. Attentive and attention to detail . They went out of their way to help out with my requests and suggestions.

The room, whilst a single room, was smaller than expected and therefore very hot. Whilst The bathroom was mostly clean, the bedroom was quite dusty.

The room was economical and the bed comfortable. The provision of a bottle of water was also good.

I liked that it was the best bed ever. I always order double beds and I slept like a baby. Felt so peaceful. And it was a bit from city, but about 10 minutes from Gatwick airport with Uber.

There was no decaffeinated coffee, which I have instead of caffeinated for medical reasons.

I am delighted the sachets for hot drinks were Fairtrade. I am very pleased that extra milk was brought for me when I asked for it. There were plenty of power sockets, including a couple by the desk in addition to those for the TV and kettle, so you can plug in a laptop or a phone charger for example.

The lodge was an absoloutele let down the rooms were dirty the carpets were filthy one bed had two wheels missing so you'd be sleeping on a tilted bed and the draught is absolutely unbelievable the place is old and worn down the staff choose who to speak nice too and do not know how to conduct themselves towards customer I was spoken too harshly all in all a very bad place would not go here again but there is one thing which made my stay a bit better was the fact they employed such a good person like mobeen who did all his best to make me feel comfortable and welcomed as for the other staff they need to be trained again and the whole lodge needs to be updated cleaned and revamped

I didn't like when one of the staff tried to badge in because our time was up. It was rude and uncomfortable. We were lucky our door was locked.

I liked the fact that the room was tidy and bed was comfortable, shower was proper and it was quiet.

they took my money then got to the property and said I couldn’t stay booking.com haven’t given me it back nor had Barrington lodge after several phone calls it’s disgusting !!!

Room had strange smell on arrival, like a can of lynx had just been sprayed to cover up something . No bath mats, no hairdryers, towels were stained. Marks and fingerprints on all walls and blinds and carpet didn’t look clean was very worn. Decor tired needs refreshing

It's the type of hotel where you would enjoy a nice English breakfast. Considering also the fact that there are no shops around.

The nice welcoming at the reception, the cleanliness and the furnitures + facilities in the room.

Hardly any staff. Had to ring a few times and was seen by a nice enough man. We dropped bags off and went out. We came back about 11.30pm. There was someone trying to get in(?). He turned around and went to his car. We then started the process of trying to gain entry, which we did, then the previous man started to follow us in. We said we should shut the door as we didn't know if he was a guest. He said he had let us in!! He then was very rude and accused us of racism and wanted to start a fight with my husband. No staff anywhere. The bed was very soft and the room was too hot. We hardly slept and went home at 5.30 am. A VERY bad experience. Would not recommend. There is no direct way to let the hotel know about this incident although I am sure there must be CCTV footage. P.S the double room was two soft beds pushed against a wall so imagine it was supposed to be a single as the bedside table didn't fit.

Customer service is bad. The lady cannot deal politely with customers to resolve issues, instead blames the customer and threatens to cancel our reservation after we arrived there. Calling my partner mr perfect with her attitude. We received the code to the building which wasn’t our fault in the first place and the customer service mistake. They asked us to send photos of the room on their WhatsApp and we did but then she went off on one as to why we are sending her colleague photos. She anlso kept lying about cleaners and Didn’t believe us when we said no one was here cleaning. Other people dealt with were professional. Receptionist offered us alternative room which we took however not what I paid for.

The receptionist was the only helpful person there. First off called on the day to ask for early check in which was granted and code was sent to me and when my partner got there the room was not cleaned or made up. After dealing with such bad customer service on the phone. The poor receptionist was running up and down to check if there was an alternative room. Bless him! The location is nice and quiet.
