Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomWe had 2 small bed rooms, which is what we booked.Our room had a double bed, which was hard against the wall, making it difficult to get in and out of bed. We're both in our 70s, so, not so great. This is a good hotel. If we stayed again we would definitely upgrade to a bigger room.
The breakfast was excellent, the staff were polite and attentive.couldn't find fault. Tea and coffee in the room and more supplies from the bar if you ran out. Excellent location only a few meters from the tram stop.

United KingdomThe hotel was a lovely pleasant place to stay, the room was small and didn’t have a view as at the side but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We only stayed in the room really to sleep or to waste a couple of hours while waiting to go back out as was out most of the days. A kettle with tea and coffee was available and upon registering in we were told where the spare milks etc was kept in the bar and was just to help ourselves. The breakfasts were served between 8.45 and 9.30 where there was a selection of cereal, toast, crumpets and other various continental foods available along with fruit juices. The cooked breakfast was delicious consisting of the full English or variations on this such as sausage sandwiches, scrambled egg on toast etc. the girls were very quick at taking your order and bringing your chosen drink and the food arrived hot and pretty soon after the order was taken. Overall we loved our stay once again after last visiting 6 years ago. We would highly recommend this hotel and would like to thank all the staff from Chris & Shell in room 7.

I recently stayed at the Barton Hotel in Blackpool from 17th to 20th August 2023. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Blackpool. The hotel is located in a great location, just a short walk from the Pleasure Beach and the seafront. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed very comfortable. The hotel also has a good breakfast, with something to suit everyone's taste. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I had a great stay. Overall, I had a very positive experience at the Barton Hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Here are some specific things that I liked about the hotel: The location is great, just a short walk from the Pleasure Beach and the seafront. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed very comfortable. The breakfast is good, with something to suit everyone's taste. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a very positive experience at the Barton Hotel and would definitely recommend it to others.
