A kettle & mugs in the room, but only a few stairs to the communal kitchen.

The lovely owners, along with baby Orson & Elmer the bulldog puppy, are friendly & welcoming! All areas are spotlessly clean; the duvet is thick & warm; the bed is comfy & the facilities are excellent including free range eggs for sale from their own chickens (payment via an honesty box); there are Alpacas in the adjoining field; you’re surrounded by lush Green countryside & the only sound is that of the birds singing, yet you’re just minutes from a Co-op, pub, takeaways etc! HIGHLY RECOMMEND & WILL be back! 😁

Only two local pubs both called the goat. One was fully booked. The other was a proper locals pub, that wasn’t the most accommodating

This was my first ever hostel stay and it exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff, great location. Facilities were more than suitable. We could tell as soon as we got there is would be a nice stay. The Sega console was a bonus !

the gentleman at the reception was very pleasant and very dedicated. we needed to do laundry but it was already too late for the laundry service. We had ourselves a minor problem to wash a few pieces of clothes in the sink. The problem was where to dry the laundry. In front of the house there were drying wires on which the gentleman at the reception desk very helpfully made room for us. The next morning, the laundry was not dry and the gentleman at the reception offered the use of the dryer for free on his own initiative. Very friendly and dedicated. 10 out of ten points for the reception staff.👍

Nothing - it was great!

Great place to stay as a family, Grandparents, parents and 15 month old! We had a great time, loved the space in the rooms and the animals to visit and feed. Also thought the kitchen for mixed use was so well organised with the never ending supply of fresh towels! We will definitely use again!

Slightly cold on arrival late in evening. Be prepared to wear thermals in the room and to bed. Needed own car to get there and there was a strict have to leave premises by 10am not just vacated the room but in your car and be gone by 10am.

Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable about area, great at communicating with guests even before arrival. It was as advertised. Rooms were big and great for a family with hiking gear. The common room and Kitchen was well stocked with utensils for cooking and eating and tables and sofas were kept clean. The pool table allows for children to make friends while there. It was quiet at night.

Location-wise, this place was a perfect base for us. We walked Dinorwic, Snowdon, mountain biked at Betws y coed and watched the sunset on Harlech beach. Nice and clean facilities, we were impressed our 4-person bunk had 4 double bunks, and the en-suite was great. Well equipped kitchen and the staff there were really friendly. Will definitely book again next time I’m in that area.

I like everything but it could be like a fire pit area outside where guest could sit around at night time and have A chat outside and keeping warm over the night it was excellent

The fact that it was a communal area and people could talk about their experiences on the mountain and just have general chitchat saying that very relaxing

It would be great to have a little laundrette option ( to pay for washing and drying your clothes) this would be a great addition but understand its probably very costly!

Tom and Tim were very welcoming and friendly. The hostel is a perfect place to stay. Lovely communal area with a TV, pool table (20p a game) and old school gaming TV (the kids loved this) and great big kitchen. Nice touch with milk, tea, coffee, sugar and basics to buy and put in the honesty box. The little small hold of alpacas, sheep and chickens is so lovely and you can feed them for free which the kids love! Bedrooms where great with very comfy beds! shower are great too. Can't wait to visit again.

The rain, but that's just Wales!

The staff were really welcoming and helpful. It was me and my three lads away for a few days. The location, facilities and rooms were perfect. Double bunk beds were really comfy, rooms clean with plenty of space. Plenty of outdoor space and large clean communal area. This is defo on my list of returns to.

Bedside lamps for reading without having the main light on would have been nice. There was only a single frying pan in the kitchen. Overall the stay was great though.

The bunk beds were double sized, really nice to have a big bed in a hostel. The hiking route up Snowdon recommended by the person at reception was great.
