Floors were creaky and noisy. The heating was cooler than we liked, we called the owner but were not able to adjust. No spare pillows or blankets.

    Separate lounge to bedrooms.

Even though it was -3 outside, owners had only turned on the lights and not the heating for us arriving so cottage was freezing and took most of the night to heat the place up. After my partner had a bath I went to have a shower and the hot water only lasted 5mins so rinsed of my shampoo in the cold water and came out quickly. Not sure what was happening as later in the day the water was warmer again. Wasn’t as clean as I would have expected, but this didn’t put us off any. There was a lot of cob webs around the ceiling and shower tray dirty. Not something that I didn’t like but a suggestion, to maybe have a laminated sign in the bathroom to show where the Jacuzzi button is. And maybe a brush and pan and mop & bucket or something similar, as hoover was broken and couldn’t wash the floors during stay, with the location the cottages are in really needed a good clean each day.

Nice Peaceful location with excellent views of the hill side. Cottage was nice inside and good sized rooms. The cottage was only a 10min drive to all the local amenities. This place is perfect for anyone wanting to escape life and have quiet remote place to chill and unwind, which is what we were after.

Not much within walking distance as there weren't any paths or verges by the road that were wide enough to walk safely with the dog, but there were loads that you could get to very quickly by car.

We stayed in Silver Birch which is right at the top of the hill. Location was great. Was a bit worried about some negative reviews after we'd booked it but didn't need to be. It was dog friendly, great for our needs and a base for exploring. It was clean and had the basics including everything that is advertised on booking.com. such as hairdryer (in the bedside cabinet drawer), fridge freezer, washer, cooking utensils etc. Whirlpool bath was lovely to warm up in after a busy day. It would be wise to bring extra towels, loo roll and bin bags if you're staying more than a couple of days though. Washing up liquid and dish cloths were provided but there is a dishwasher if you wanted to bring your own dishwasher tablets. There is a helpful file in one of the living room drawers with contact details, things to do and places to eat. We did have an issue with electricity on one of the days due to a change over of supplier, but that was rectified on the same day. There is a coop in the town that has a fairly good selection if you're self catering. We had takeaway from the pizza place and chip shop alongside the coop too. Both a bit pricey, but pizzas were really good and you can take out or sit in. Lots of nice walks around the Loch and in Drumnadrochit. Would definitely stay again.

The furnishings were a bit tired and the kitchen could have used more utensils, glasses, tea towels, seasonings and maybe an air fryer. Many other properties we have stayed at offered a complimentary bottle of wine or a basket of treats. We didn't like that the 2nd bedroom was small and only had 2 single bunk beds. It would have been nice if the lower bunk was at least a double.

Spacious cottage in a quiet area surrounded by nature. Lots of parking.

In my experience a self-catered cottage such as this often has a bit of essential food-related items, such as sugar, cooking oil, seasonings, etc; this one had none of those things. Only two usable mugs and few glasses. Double bed was not very comfortable. Shower was not super clean.

The cottage was very spacious and comfortably furnished. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, etc. Washer/dryer was very much appreciated and worked great.

Matress was very uncomfortable with spring etc digging in, no pillow cases for spare pillows, only 2 towels, flooring was extremely creaky/noisy, tumble dryer was broken, no dog water/food bowls even though they knew we were bringing a dog.

View was lovely, very secluded, no close neighbours, looked better than the pictures

There was no wi-fi connection in the house, which was inconvenient. And also, although there was a fully equiped and big kitchen, there was no kitchen table, so when we wanted to eat breakfast etc, we had to move everything to the small living room table, which was not convenient either.

The location was beautiful and we had a quick access to many wonderful places like loch ness and Inverness. The little house where we stayed was beautifully decorated and it was very clean, modern and comfortable.

The rubbish at the side of the house, no frying pan or grill pan. The shower trap was full of someone else’s hair and the tray kept flooding. The property would benefit from a deep clean. Linen was clean but stained. With a good clean and new bed linen it would be exceptional.

The location was stunning, the property was small but adequate. Well decorated. The towels provided was a nice touch as was the milk, washing up liquid and tea towel.

the emptiness. the cupboards were bare, there was one tea towel, cutlery and some utensils.
