The hosts were attentive and welcoming. The area was perfect, minutes from the town . Sandy beach across the road, cinema in town, plenty of cafes bars and eateries. We had a lovely time.

The shower and toilet are on the small side, but modifications are being planned. The television might be a bit larger but again this was restricted due to space on the wall. A radio for background music could have been good while having breakfast.

The quirkiness from the first moment we arrived. Gordon and his family made us laugh from the onset. The room was what we paid for and came up to expectations. We went looking for a hotel close to the beach and this one was right on the beach. Our room did not have a sea view but that was my fault for booking too late. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, as was the comedy show that accompany it Gordon always the jolly joker. And his stories were amazing. They kept their distance but was on hand should be required. It is hard to find any reason to give a negative comment as this is only a 3 * not a 5* plus as some people appear to expect. Gordon and Margerat are typical grandparent type Guest house owners and would appeal to all ages, but accessibility is not good for with challenging needs. Parking is on first come basic so once you get your parking slot. keep it. Permits are available for this.

The bed was a little lumpy and would need replacing soon. Other then that a good place to stay.

The location was great, close to beach and high street. The staff were friendly and lovely to talk to. The chef was amazing, home made jams and locally sourced food even home grown spuds. Rooms a good size and the shower large with plenty of hot water

Very dated , Hard chairs and bed & tv position wrong if you wanted to watch in bed as above to the left side of the head board ? And we’re not aware of free wi fi .

Perhaps a different mattress is needed as not too comfortable, a little old fashioned, but this suited our needs as we only needed a place to rest. I would recommend and would stay there again!

A friendly welcome, lovely to have a cooked breakfast included in the price. Our room was clean and tidy with a good sea view. A great location as very close to the shops ☺️

Fantastic location. Delighted they were still open in winter months. Free parking voucher for street parking and tips on when parking becomes difficult.
