How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Food was great except that my husband ordered a dish especially because it promised celeriac and potato mash but there was definitely no celeriac in the mash. It's his favourite vegetable so he was very disappointed.
Clean spacious room. Staff welcoming and friendly. Efforts were made to make the place cosy and welcoming

From start to finish..all went smooth..the room was really clean..bathroom sparled..the free drinks in fridge were brill...the evening meal was great and the breafast was the same lovely and hot...my wife and I loved this place..we will be going back...thank you everybody for your hard work..diligence..and friendship during our stay..Noise..what noise🙂..keep up the good work guys..god bless..andy & mary

Slight issue with noise as it was at the top of the stairs next to the door and bathroom bit mouldy and paint peeling probably as extractor fan broken but overall didn’t detract from great stay.
Great location near top of Cotswolds and close to M5 if breaking up a longer journey. Modern pub with stylish decor, great food and fantastic staff who were very welcoming and restaurant staff too. . Nice touch with welcome drink in mini bar and homemade shortbread.

We did have problems with the TV reception
The location was ideal , not far to motorways and Cheltenham. The staff were really welcoming and the room was so comfortable. Lots of little touches that were unexpected.

We arrived at the Beckford inn to be greeted at reception then taken to our room and we where also welcomed with a complimentary bottle of beer and prosecco for our stay. we had a evening meal in the restaurant, which was very nice and the staff where very friendly and helpful. overall the hotel was superb and we will look to book here again for a future trip.

We unfortunately had an issue with the sink in our bathroom. It was partially blocked, making it very slow to drain and some black specks coming up. The bathroom did smell drainy. It would have been a real issue but as we were only staying one night we just mentioned it when checking out . Shower was good, and hot. Noise during the night from a pump or something going on and off outside, probably not a problem if you don’t mind closing your bedroom window.
Very welcoming, lots of much appreciated extras - homemade shortbread, bottles of Prosecco and beer , hand gel, etc - oh, and doggy treats , which pleased Jasper whippet. A small box of tissues would have been a bonus as I’d forgotten to pack any, but I’m sure the staff would have found some for me if I had asked. Room and bed were comfortable and clean . We enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the bar - - venison for husband and beer battered cod for me - and an excellent breakfast next morning, with lots of choice. Checking in and out was quick and efficient and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The gardens would be very pleasant on warm summer evenings .

Restaurant not open Sunday night, but staff gave good advice about Tewkesbury options.
Our room was spacious and the breakfast was outstanding. There was full English and the usual options. But also some exotic offerings. I had a spicy middle eastern breakfast and it was fantastic. Excellent staff and a free beer or Prosecco in the room.

The room was really hot we cant help the weather but the famn was to loud to use to cool the room down so our sleep was broken and the sausages at breakfast were awful
The location is amazing, comfy beds,all the little extras were great ,the eve food was stunning the steak was to die for puddings fab staff were so helpful and sincere

Lovely overnight stay with a great restaurant. Beautiful building. Super comfortable rooms (lovely duvet, nice lighting, lots of nice touches - homemade shortbread, cafetière, pillow spray, Roberts radio, complementary beer/Prosecco). Staff were great, they couldn’t do more to make us feel welcome. Food in the restaurant (we had dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Dogs are welcomed. Lots of space to sit outside if the weather allows.
