Cracked wash hand basin. The room was a bit hot overnight despite opening the window, even though we were on the ground floor!

Lovely room, great restaurant and breakfast Chocs in room and complimentary gin in the hall!

Breakfast was a little disappointing in taste and quality (bacon and sausages) as was the coffee but service was lovely. Cost was a little high due to demand.

Beautiful historic pub with a lovely garden and well located. Room was lovely and comfortable and extremely clean.

Charming and ideally located, but expensive for the small space

The room I had (William) was quite small, without anywhere to sit except for the bed and a tiny wicker chair. There was barely enough space to leave opened bags on the floor. No mini fridge made it impossible to store food - ok only for a very short stay where one can eat at the restaurant and nearby pubs. There is no food shop on the high street. Neither of these issues would matter if the price were lower. As it stands the value proposition may not quite be there.

The location can't be beat - if you need to be in Cookham for any reason (work or pleasure) this is a lovely place to stay, located right in the middle of the village. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, making sure all my needs were met (from leaving luggage to arranging a taxi to the station). The restaurant was great with plenty of spacious outdoor seating. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and amenities - the large soap and shampoo dispensers were particularly appreciated.

    I wouldn't change anything.

Our room was great and had everything we needed. I loved the quirkiness, and steeped in history it was modernised and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff super helpful. We loved our stay and will definitely consider returning again soon.

The only concern is about cleaning - I stayed for 5 nights, however bin was never emptied, sink not cleaned, etc. If this part is fixed - then this is more than perfect place to stay :)

Very nice location, cozy apartament, fantastic staff.

I am struggling to get a receipt for expenses and have had no response despite trying via booking, phone and email to contact them

Noise after hours in street, to be expected when staying in a pub in a high street. Disappointing fires were not lit on Saturday. However they were all lit Sunday after breakfast.

Historic old building, love the venue, visited often but never stayed previously. Nice touch complimentary Whisky & Sloe Gin on landing. Quirky rooms, all named after local characters.

The rooms were on the small side, and there could have been more fresh fruits at breakfast

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The building was very old and quaint. The windows opened, and you could control the room temperature. Large sized superking bed. Rooms were spotless. Pretty village close to the river Thames.
