Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomTook family as it was supposed to be quite time at 10pm and the host had his family and friends there till 2am in the morning. No tea or coffee and milk left for day 2 stay . And we had to move from the first b@b to another witch was further away from the attractions. And the T.V in the room was the size of a post card .

United KingdomMattress was very springy could definitely do with knew ones. Hotel rooms have potential but are a little run down and some pieces are falling down but nothing major. Pillow case was missing from the small pillow. Duvet is very thin but wasn’t too bothered in these heat however the duvet cover didn’t fit very well and was falling off.
Great location. Staff was nice and friendly easy check in. Room was simple but had everything you needed. For the price I wouldn’t argue at all

United KingdomI noticed a "for sale"sign outside so it may be that the owners have just given up on the place. The standard of cleaning is poor and there are numerous maintenance issues. The headboard had fallen off my bed and it was a real struggle to get the toilet to flush. There was no toilet paper and no mug, I had to chase them up. The wifi is unusable on the top floor. Most importantly, there seem to be people staying here long term, which is not necessarily a problem, but the occupant of the room next to mine was very dodgy. There was a lot of shouting and swearing at intervals throughout the two days I was there, and then on the morning I left the police turned up and evicted him. The whole experience was quite upsetting and scary, and to be honest I only expect that kind of thing at the very cheapest guesthouses and the Bel Reve is not one of the very cheapest. I will most certainly not be staying there again.
Reasonably comfortable room and good shower. I had a great view of the Tower illuminated at night. The young man who runs the place was pleasant and friendly and does seem to be trying.

United Kingdomvery dated premises. kettle in the room but nothing to drink out of and no milk, no toilet roll holder in bathroom, bedding had what looked like bleach marks on it, toilet didn’t flush properly and a lot of noise from others in the hotel, landing light was on and off all night too (sensor must be to sensitive)

United KingdomLike most traditional guest houses, there are a lot of stairs, and the stair carpet is noticeably old and worn. There was no mug in my room, I had to go and ask for one. Reception was locked up and deserted at checkout time and there were no instructions on what to do with the keys, so in the end I just left them in the door of my room.
Fantastic value for money at the (admittedly discounted) price I paid. There was nothing to criticise about the room, which had a nice ensuite shower room cleverly fitted in a small space. The people who run the place were very friendly. Very convenient central location. I would definitely go back.

United KingdomThe first room we was put in had unclean bedding on and rubbish in wardrobe and leftover clothes like it hadn't been cleaned moved to another room took a look in bedside table where they was baccie ash cig ends and stunk of weed, showed this the owner who then kindly moved us rooms again this room was spotlessly clean however the people in the room next to us was banging about shouting and been loud until around 4am and around 2.30am the toilet started making a really Lound noise Vibrating and banging which woke us up once again, beds are too small need a full size double at least for 2 people but was fine for the 1 night we stayed :(
Greeted on arrival the owner was friendly&happy to move us rooms after I complained about the unclean rooms we was moved twice 3rd time lucky we got a clean room :)
