We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe rooms were not as booked Room 1: Superior Double or Twin Room.... The unit has 2 beds. Room 2: Junior Suite......The unit offers 2 beds. Room 1 had 2 beds - actually when booking it stated 3 ( one double 2 twin beds) while Room 2 the junior suite had only one bed. We had a 3rd room which was supposed to be a twin but had a double bed. In the end we secured 5 beds for 5 people but 3 adults in a room was not ideal. This seems to be a major issue with Booking.com as most people travelling on business are not seeking to share a double bed., And the booking software keeps sneakily defaulting to 2 adults - Double beds
Staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast buffet was excellent. involved in a motorsport event early breakfast was served on a Saturday. The hotel is oldish but quite well maintained and the 'clubhouseish' ambience is a change from dreary uniformity. Prices were discounted.

A great location for touring the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, the hotel with its adjoining golf course, was a perfect accompaniment, welcoming, helpful and friendly staff, an on-site club-house provided good meal options from bar-meals through to he main restaurant.

United KingdomThe room and its furniture was showing plenty of use. Some loud noises from the next room (presumably from their wardrobe). My double bed was actually two singles put together – fine as long as I didn't try to lie in the middle.
Peaceful position on the edge of town with a choice of large supermarkets and some shops just a short walk away (I walked because the town centre car parks always seemed to be full). Plenty of parking at the hotel, good WiFi and very helpful staff. Cosy, well-heated room. Excellent value for money with a special discounted rate. Breakfast could be bought for an extra £13 but I decided against.

That room 100% needs refurbishing, not to mention cleaning. It's meant to be "fancy" but the walls were dirty, mould in the bathroom and so on. We were here only for a night and went for the breakfast included option which was a good choice. Not too many options for breakfast but just enough to get you ready for a hike.

United KingdomI phoned and booked the restaurant on the proviso a football match would be shown in the bar but when it was about to start that refused to show it, totally fair enough but the fact I phoned before booking two days before and was told it would be shown for it then to change at last minute when it was to late for us to go elsewhere was not good customer service.
