Everything! Such a warm welcome. The room was very good quality. Bed so comfy! Breakfast delicious and freshly cooked! Clare allowed us to park the motorbike in her courtyard. Plenty eateries in town.

The cooked breakfast was superb, especially the grilled bacon. The handmade patchwork quilt in the bedroom was a lovely touch. The little sitting room downstairs was pleasant to sit in after a day out.

Lovely house in a charming village. A perfect stop-over location for our trip from South Yorkshire to Scotland. The house has been beautifully decorated - our room had an oriental theme. The sitting room and dining room downstairs were full of character in keeping with the house. The owner Clare has put a lot of love into this property. Clare was very welcoming, and cooked us a delicious breakfast. She was also very helpful in arranging for us to collect a jacket which we had left behind, on our return journey a few days later. Clare also recommended that we visit the nearby High Force on our way to Scotland - spectacular, thanks Clare! We had a very good evening meal at the Teesdale pub across the road.

Lovely quiet b&b. It's in the village centre close to all the amenities you could want for a short break. Plenty to see and visit. Easy to more challenging walks on the doorstep or nearby.

Loved it all. The quirkiness of the house with lots of victorian attributes really worked well. The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size and very clean. The breakfast was delicious Claire and her mum were fantastic hosts.

Plumbing is noisy. Stand-up shower not possible until a curtain and and a shower bracket are installed.

Clare the host has got all the boxes ticked here. I got detoured cycling up to my stay, Clare stayed up to check me in. Brilliant! And thank you again. The house is old, quirky, clean and comfortable. I stayed in room 5 in the top of the house. Really nice room, comfortable bed and an ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic, in a beautiful dining room. Would I book again? Most definitely.
