Loved staying here, the attic room was so cosy, clean and comfortable. I had a bath after a long days walk and really appreciated the small details. Breakfast was lovely.

Cozy and very comfortable room in a house with lots of character. Wonderful beds. Easy off-street parking right in front. Lots of maps and information about local nature walks. Lovely takeaway breakfast so we could get an early start. Clare is a gracious host and available to help with all of our questions.

Everything, beautiful quirky room. Breakfast was excellent, Clare was friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and facilities good. We would definitely go again.

It was a pity we only spent one night here - but we'll be back!

We had the room at the top with a bath, no shower. The room was perfect for us. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There was a lounge room for guests on the ground floor with games and books. Breakfast was in a beautiful dining room and the porridge I had was delicious! We were the only guests as the start of the hiking season. I do hope this place has a successful holiday season.

We would have loved a shower in the room but there was just a bath which was understandable as the room was up in the eves, it didn't lessen the appeal though just worth noting.

Clare was so welcoming and the room was very quirky but lived it and the breakfast was exceptional and nothing was a bother.

I do not want to detract in ANY way as to.just how exceptionally good this establishment is. However, a couple of very tiny pointers, perhaps, to make it EVEN more wonderful. The shower was immaculate and very good, but I did find there was nowhere to put any toiletries I needed to use. Just a simple shelf would suffice. But apart from that tiny point, all was excellent.

Everything. Immaculately maintained and very well looked after by Clare and her mum. Nothing was too much trouble and every part of the establishment was warm, friendly, very tastefully furnished and Immaculately clean. Breakfast was also exceptional. Whilst a little far away from the event I was attending than I would normally stay at, if ever in the area again, I would not hesitate to stay there again and look forward to it as well.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The location of Belvedere House was perfect and the town is beautiful. Our room was lovely with everything we needed to hand. Our breakfast was amazing, we were given fabulous choices, and it was very tasty. Parking was easy. Belvedere House has an excellent host and we will definitely visit again.

The host and her mum were so friendly and accommodating. They were happy for us to stay with a 1 year old and set the dining room lovely for her to join at the table. Room was so big and lovely decor. And breakfast was fantastic especially the scrambled eggs.

Such a beautiful quirky B&B, beautiful breakfast and Clare goes out of her way to welcome you. It's perfect for winter walks (and summer, of course) We would definitely recommend. 5 minutes drive from High Force waterfall and many others.

We wanted to stay in Middleton in Teesdale as we had a stargazing night at high force, The Belvedere was a perfect spot, Very friendly, lovely breakfast. Family friendly and really well run We would definitely stay here again

A little noise / music from the bar next door until around midnight
