The breakfast could be improved in terms of quality but was not terrible. The coffee machine was very good though.

The bedroom was very spacious, warm and confortable and overall the room and bathroom were great. The breakfast room was very pleasant with a good view and a lot of light. The hotel location is also in a pleasant quiet area.

Short story: customer service is appalling. Long story: Upon arrival late at night (tired), receptionist tried to swipe my card more than 5 times to capture the details, was eventually unsuccessful, and did not show much empathy to us by holding us there at the reception desk for a long time unnecessarily (despite us having booked and paid for fully in advance). Cleaners turned the label outside our door in an attempt not to service our room, and we had to ask them and the receptionists explicitly every single day to service our room. Vacuuming in our room was inconsistent (sometimes happening, sometimes it did not), depending on the cleaner. We went in and out of the hotel several times, and no receptionist has ever greeted us, not even once, despite us greeting them.

Excellent breakfast with a large selection of both cooked and cold food and fruit. The free parking that looks well protected is a bonus. For the evening, the restaurant has not a large menu, but what they serve is well prepared and tasty.

Floors and carpet in bedroom not as clean as should be. Having ironing board and iron on inside of bathroom door means board gets wet with steam. Door key card didn’t work 3 times meant lots of trips back to reception.

V convenient location, good parking, nice views from dining room. One of the night receptionists very helpful when I returned late to hotel from working late and needed something to eat, but no room service available or snacks to purchase offered to give me his own crisps!

Food was hit and miss. Onion bhagis with katsu chicken burger were black. Not a colour I associate with them. Lack of mushrooms at breakfast disappointing but understand suppliers let them down. An explanation would save a pointless wait for them.

The WiFi was terrible, so i couldn't do any work, and as the TV content was pretty rubbish, I couldn't watch Netflix on my tablet as the WiFi wasnt strong enough. Also, big as the bed was, it was really uncomfortable and the duvet was little more than a sheet which is a particular bugbear of mine. It was also stupidly hot in the room, and as ixwalked to my car in the early hours, most rooms had open windows so I guess it was throughout.

Unfortunately I arrived just as a 'Mystic Show' was about to begin, and it meant the car park, hotel, reception and bar were an absolute nightmare. However, that said, the staff were brilliant, I was upgraded as I asked for a bath. The food was of a really high standard (I had the Katsu Burger and it was delicious), the room was clean, but a little basic, but I got my bath, so no complaints.

Lovely stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast - fresh fruit salad, soya yogurts and soya milk available. And the tomatoes from the buffet were properly cooked and seasoned (a first for us). All absolutely delicious!

On this night it was extremely busy due to a convention.

Food was 1st class and extremely good. I was last in the restaurant and the food was delivered and served as if I was special.
