Shower quite spacious although felt a little overheated as extractor was outside Shower enclosure. Turned temperature down and managed fine.

We travelled with our dog and I fully accept that dogs were not allowed in the dining room. So it was a great help to be able to eat breakfast in our room.

Would have being better if you could have had an earlier breakfast, 7.45 is too late if you have early plans to be somewhere, and not enough staff on reception, one person is not enough when theirs people checking in and you want serving from the bar

There was no way to wash in privacy without using the shower. The pillows were too thick. There wasn't any healthy food for breakfast, that I saw. There didn't appear to be any way of putting the toilet light on without the light over the sink, which if used in the middle of the night, means everyone else in the room gets disturbed by the light going on! There were not enough small towels for each of us to have one, if one is used as a general hand towel at the sink, and only there was only one (perhaps two?) large towel.

It was comfortable, clean, (as long as you don't look under the beds, which I did as I was looking for something!), convenient and excellent value for money. The staff were also very pleasant.

Rooms looked dated. Door handle was broken on the bathroom door. Veneer was peeling off the dressing table.

the floor in the shower room/toilet could do with replacing as the boards under the vinyl were soft.

Insufficient attention to detail. Inadequate tea/sugar and toiletries for the duration of our stay, especially given no daily cleaning regime during COVID. Only 1 bath towel provided. Food in restaurant was very average. Toaster was set too high and burned the toast. Ran out of butter. Accessible room was difficult to access because of need to open fire doors, which is difficult in a wheelchair. People did their best, but seemed to be lacking in management direction and, especially, support. I know it wasn’t expensive but management should ensure the basics are there.

Staff were friendly and those we saw worked hard. Accessible room had good bathroom.

Rooms needed a re-vamp. Room safe wouldn’t lock, but had I needed to use it the receptionist offered to come and sort it out..One of the electric sockets was lose. Rather noisy when people were moving about upstairs. Unfortunately grill and bar were closed due to COVID-19

Decor was a little tired in the room. Loud at points as near the road - our last stay was in a room towards the back of the hotel which was quiet but a smaller room so you can’t have it all!
