Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoad noise spoiled the ambience. As there was no a/c in the bedroom we needed to have the window open, and the road noise was very intrusive.
The bed was very comfortable; there was a good blast of water from the shower, and fluffy towels on the heated towel rail. The staff were all friendly and enthusiastic.

United KingdomNothing, everything lived up to my expectation.
Very friendly staff, and the resturant was great. I really enjoyed the Saturday morning walks they provided for the guest. Felt really nice as a first timer in Peak District.

United KingdomNot a complaint but the surprisingly sunny weather made the rooms very warm when we checked in - a fan already in the room helped.
What a fabulous find! Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly team at the Bike & Boot. We came as a small group (plus a dog!) for a walk in the Peaks and an overnight stay to celebrate a big birthday. The team couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. A big shout out to Katie in the Bareca restaurant on Friday night for making us feel special:) Lovely, modern brand new rooms with everything you need. Even the dog got his own bed and a toy! Amazing service

United KingdomA piece of toast got caught in the toaster leading to a small fire at breakfast and none of the staff knew how to deal with it. Very disappointing and somewhat dangerous!!
Great design and lovely for travelling with a dog.

United KingdomBreakfast was a bit underwhelming given the price, we arrived with a hour of breakfast still remaining and everything looked tired or had completely run out. Shame because everything else was spot on.
The Hotel is brand new, which is pretty rare considering it's in the heart of the peak district. However it is very nicely built and fits with it's surroundings nicely. There is plenty of parking, a great restaurant, space to relax and play boardgames. And lots of dogs. If you are not a dog person I'd stay elsewhere. Facilities for washing and storing your bike was great and saved the car from being covered in mud on the way home.

United KingdomThere was no staff member at check-in, just digital machine and then one to validate parking. In the room there were few instructions on the facilities, no wifi code so had to go searching for a member of staff to give it. The hospitality tray was incredibly poor, when you're paying a lot for a room a couple of coffee pods doesn't cut it. The mini bar had mouldy cans in it, no idea how often the fridge is checked but I wasn't impressed. I was also unhappy about being a lone female being given a room as far from people as possible on the second floor next to a quiet fire exit. This for me is a safety issue and seen as the hotel were aware I was a lone traveller should have tried to locate me somewhere nearer the main part of the hotel, it's common practice to locate lone travellers away from quiet fire exits etc and usually I get placed somewhere people are around more. It's an ok place bit I think you get better value in other hotels locally for the same price with breakfast included and better stocked tea trays. It was clean and the little contact I had with staff was pleasant but over priced in my opinion and should offer bit more in hospitality.
It was a great location with on site parking. The room had nice fixtures and fittings and the bed was comfortable
