Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt’s a beautifully restored 400yr old building with lots of history. You would struggle to find anywhere to stay like this. The lovely smell of old English Oak as you climb up the staircase is amazing😃

Maria was so very helpful. The key hand over was very easy. The heating was already on which was very lovely. The whole apartment was lovely. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom shower was amazing. The apartment itself is stunning. The kitchen is very well appointed, everything you could need. The lounge area is massive with two sofa's and more comfy chairs so perfect area for entertaining. We had family over for Christmas lunch and never once did we feel like we were on top of each other. All in all a very lovely period property, very close to the centre and parking just round the corner. Thanks!!!!!!

United KingdomEverything about the place is great. Immediate wow factor as soon as the door was opened and the room shown to us. Very friendly hosts, and a very homely, instantly comfortable place to be. More than big enough place to stay indoors at if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

United KingdomThe parking was a bit difficult, which of course is nobody’s fault; we found a decent and fairly inexpensive car park a five minute walk away at Severn Street. Nothing else comes to mind
The house appearance was superb, being a Tudor building. The location in Bridgnorth town centre was also great- only a five minute walk up the hill to the shops. Bridgnorth is a busy and thriving town where there always seems to be something happening; beer festival on one day, Italian car rally the next. Really enjoyable!

United KingdomThe history of the place and the space. It was spotlessly clean and provided all we needed
Exceptional in every way, was a real pleasure to stay there. My friend and I took our 2 granddaughters aged 8 and 10. They loved the place too. Fabulous location and accommodation. Thank you too for the continuous help and support of all the staff downstairs in the tea rooms.

United KingdomOnly slight drawback - but this isn't the fault of the property or the owners - is very limited parking close by. No problem though for those who are mobile.
Very interesting character of the property, great location in a really interesting part of lovely Bridgnorth, very helpful communication with Reg in advance of arrival, and friendly conversation with Maria as we wwere leaving. All very comfortable and with good (and thoughtful range of) amenities - thank you.

United KingdomWe were in the top floor apartment, and there was no opening window in the bedroom. The rest of the apartment had plenty of ventilation. No parking adjacent to the building(but we were told that when booking) Parking was available at the local CO-OP car park(paid in advance).A bit of a worry as we left the car there for the whole time we were there. It would have been easy prey for any thieves
The location, the building itself, very old and interesting.Ideal for both parts of Bridgnorth..High and Low towns. Not too far from anywhere in Bridgnorth..Full cooking facilities and food storage, plus all cutlery and crockery.Made very welcome by the proprietor.Very pleasant tea room on ground floor.

United KingdomOnly one very slight drawback : the stairs would be difficult for anyone infirm or very elderly. Fine for us.
This is an Elizabethan house, in a quiet location and overlooking the river from the front. It dates from 1580 and is very atmospheric, with ancient beams, but still spacious. The flat has all the comfort and mod cons you'd look for but is also sympathetically decorated and furnished to keep the atmosphere. This is our second stay here, and we love this flat. Downstairs, the tea room (same management) is open 10.00 to 4.00 if you want delicious brunch, home-made cakes etc.

United KingdomA little bit noisy on Friday night as it face a street with pubs on the corner. Not easy to park. Two bedrooms are quite far away from each other so might not suit the family with very young kids.
Great location: Bridgenorth is a beautiful town. and we are living just between High Town and Low Town, by the river Severn; The apartment is very spacious and clean; Newly refurnished kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has all basic equipments if you want to cook; The host is very friendly and ready to help;
