Too many stairs to lug my suitcase up… I guess I could have asked for help… My request for a lower bunk via email was accepted, however, when I got there I had been assigned to a top bunk…I’m a healthy 75 year old woman who was recently involved in a car accident, thus my request…

Friendly staff, clean, good value…close to bus and train stations…

Friendly relaxed well organised and bigger inside than it looks on the outside. It couldn't be more central and the bunk beds were really good and comfortable

Location - too close to VERY noisy drunks on the street. Certainly not always the case, and not your fault. Could have better pens and stickers for grocery labeling. And kitchen sponge needed replaced.

Location, pleasant staff, cleanliness showers and eating area, all very nice.

But this hotel is where was very loudly on the street. I think shower have to be more clean. There was no curtain on the bunk bed.

Black Isle was very central place. Exactly room was warm. Staff was friendly. Very close the bus station and shopping center.

Beds could use curtains, especially in the mixed dorms. The general decor is very cold and a bit off putting - but then, it’s a hostel.

Location unbeatable. Very nice staff. Extremely clean.

As mentioned, cramped kitchen and overheated dormitory. Slightly pricey for a hostel.

Much more pleasant inside than it looks from the entrance, bunks are straightforward enough and with the extra comfort of having a light and plug point above the pillow (no curtain around the bed though.) The dormitory room itself had substantial curtains and opening windows (which helped combat the overheating, it's Scotland for goodness sake - a bit of cold is character building...) The lounge is light and airy and the kitchen is decently equipped (but small and cramped,) nice to have complementary tea and coffee (with free milk in the refrigerator) whilst the provision of bran/corn flakes lifts this hostel into a class above. So close to the bus station too, and just a walk down the street to the rail station as well as only around a corner and up the lane to a decent sized Co-op supermarket too.

Second night was full, someone opened the window and the street was very noisy til early hours when all the Etape competitors got up, allowing doors to bang. Top bunk was awkward at my age and staff were very apologetic but couldn't change it. Had to ask for things but staff were quick to respond

Location was very central, had to ask but once entrance was found it was easy. First night was much quieter, small but useful kitchen.

The first level of bed has really short hight, so you can't even sit in a bed, when you woke up. You can't even sit and check the phone, because that's not comfortly. Another thing it was cold in the room, the radiator was cold as well when i went to bed. I wore my hoodie and woke up in a midnight about sweating, because the heating was turn on.

The hostel was easy to find and close to the bus/railway station. The staff was friendly. Room and showers were really clean. Didn’t used the kitchen area, but another areas were nice. And the price was very affordable!

If your luggage is heavy, you need to carry it up the stairs, as there is no lift. The bathroom only has lights in the main area, but not inside the cubicles, so you're almost showering in the dark, this must be fixed! Luggage storage does not lock. Situated on the main street so not completely quiet at night.

Really close to bus and train stations, WiFi is very quick, I had a dorm for myself which was really comfortable.

Towels are not provided; curtains could be integrated into the beds for privacy; there is no wardrobe or rack for hanging jackets; and two pillows could be provided on each bed.

The location, kitchen and common room is very fantabulous.

One of the toilet seats were broken. Dorm door slams shut and can disturb sleep if not closed gently.

It was clean and quiet — however I visited during a quiet season. Beds comfy and check in process was smooth. Location to the train station is great.

Very loud noise outside our room, as hostel is located right above the nightclub. Loud bass music was on till 3am but I guess it isn't Hostel's fault. Night was a bit pricy for hostel, was expecting ten pounds cheaper.

Appropriately good hostel, with expected conditions. Clean facilities, very good Internet, nice kitchen and communal areas with everything you need. Relatively comfortable bed. Heat radiators working well. Nice showers.

The pillows could be a little bit better, but that is a very minor detail, the hostel is very good.

The location of the hostel is perfect, right in the city centre of Inverness. The staff is very friendly and nice, specially Fraser, who was very helpful and kind.

The kitchen was a bit too small and narrow when you were inside with more than three people.

The hostel was a little one were you felt like in a big family. All travellers and staff were friendly and you could have good conversations. The “living room” was cozy because of the floor in it and the interior.

The only problem was my bed was hard. I did sleep OK, but from when I got up, until now, (four days later) my back has been in agony.

I liked almost everything especially the location.
