Not many places around to eat. But that is to be expected. But not really an issue as we ate at the event we were attending.

Absolutely fantastic property. This really topped off our stay in Fort William. Close to where we needed to be and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely like to come and stay again.

The only negative was the mattress on the double bed. It was rock hard. I ended up on the bottom bunk the first night after 6 hours of tossing and turning. My wife did 2 nights before switching to the stag room on the final night.

The decour was very well put together, both inside and outside the cabin. The scent in the reed defuser was very nice. Very well presented overall.

Lots of other people mention the weak wifi. It’s not really that much of a problem though it is a bit of a mystery where the signal comes from. Use it from the lounge and stick to looking or moving around outside instead!

This is the dream. It is everything you could want your holiday accomodation to be. Clean, cosy, well stocked, with the most extraordinary view. It is part of what must have been a holiday village but now are individually owned. Bonnie Lodge certainly seems to be the prettiest inside and out and with the best view of Loch Oich. We were so happy here it was hard to leave. The hot tub is wonderful, easy to use, and perfect for a family of hikers after a long day on our feet. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to cook most of our meals. It is a fair drive from Fort William, which is a plus because you are far from the press of tourists and traffic. There’s such great wild life all around and if you’re still and quiet you will see so much. Locals are friendly and helpful. The rooms are cosy but fresh looking. Wonderful to have 2 bathrooms, both fresh in their decor as well. Great water temp and pressure. You can use it as a home base to drive to the bigger hikes or start straight from the accomodation. Beds were very comfortable with ample bedding provided. And the themes were so sweet! Our children were delighted with each of their rooms. We loved it here and would consider flying 24 hours from Melbourne to come back.

The only thing which was disappointing was the trees falling, and therefore the noise and a walking route being closed (would have been great to know about it in advance!)

The location is wonderful, amazing views. The house is great and comfy (everything we needed was available), hot tub fantastic.

Bedrooms small. Master bed a bit hard for my taste. 1 bathroom door very stiff, and almost impossible to close for the grandparents, so we all ended up using the other one which wasn’t ideal. House maybe a little tight for 6 adults over a longer period - we were 4 adults and 2 teenagers and it was a fight for the comfy seating at night! But for a few days it was fine.

Very well equipped - I usually bring my own peeler, grater, sharp knife etc to a rental property but I had no need of them here! Fab location lochside. Red squirrels out the window! Nice dog walk nearby. Few mins drive to lovely F Augustus. And the hot tub wow - kids and adults loved it, and made such a difference given the dodgy Scottish summer weather.

The site itself was a little run down. Rusty dangerous kids park, dilapidated tennis court, broken boat docking area.

The cleanliness, ease of access and great restaurant on site which has just re-opened following its closure due to Covid.

I don't have much to complain about, but I guess if you want to re-suppy with good food and beverages....you need to jump in the car. We got take-out in fort Augustus (15mins), there's also a well equipped supermarket there, but when we wanted a bigger and more luxurious shop, we went to m&s food in fort William 39mins. I enjoyed a wee day out in fort William though.

A lovely quiet location, with gorgeous views of the Caledonian canal. The hot tub is an added bonus. The lodge itself is well equipped, and is tastefully decorated. Once we had the woodburner going (logs provided) it was super cozy.

When the water in the hot tub is changed it takes 24 hours to reheat so we lost the ability to use it for 1 of the 2 nights we stayed there.

    1. No fire starters or lighter for the log burner. 2. Toilets both blocked on the second day - 6 hours to be resolved. 3. 2 showers one working. 4. Bath towels too small and unsuitable. 5. Scenery ruined by tree felling .

1.Hot tub was nice and warm on arrival. 2.Location was quiet and relaxing. 3.Hamish’s Cafe steak pie is a must.

Key safe hard to open, which wasn't helped by us arriving in the dark. Bathroom doors were stiff and difficult to open.

Beautiful views. There for business, as we were two work colleagues it was useful having separate bathrooms & the wi-fi / lounge to work in the evenings.
