What could’ve been even better was if we didn’t need to leave! :)

Staying at Bowhayes Farm was the best decision for our bank holiday weekend. We felt immensely looked after by the host Howard, had plenty of wood for our fires and received some great recommendations for walks and places to eat. The pitch, surrounded by an apple tree orchard, was so tranquil, the bathroom was immaculate and there even was a shower with multiple shower heads! This was without doubt the best Devon getaway we’ve ever had, and much of this was due to the genuine interest, warmth and care from the owners of the farm. Thank you for our lovely stay, we will definitely be back.

Wasn't expecting regular tent pitches next to our bell tent (several metres away but slightly detracted from the secluded feeling).

All good and the kettle is on its way...

A return visit... What is not to like...sitting around a fire pit under the stars. Listening to the owls in the privacy of a beautiful apple orchard with the only other sounds being the gentle plop of the apples dropping intermittently. The tent and facilities have been very well thought out, great bathroom with posh shower, a camp kitchen with all you need to cook a meal or make tea. And to cap it all the hosts super friendly and very passionate about what they do.

tents were up at the top or the orchard so bit of a up hill trek to tents owners sorted lift up there so no problem at all

Everything was great but a stove top kettle would be a great addition for making tea or coffee.

It was beautifully peaceful and everything was provided including logs for the fire pit. The field kitchen was great for cooking and the horsebox 'bathroom' even had a really fancy shower. The hosts were very friendly and obviously wanted to make sure everything was just right. The stars in the nightsky were spectacular...one of many bonuses of being under canvas.

Bowehayes farm was completely idyllic! Fiona's communication was prompt and helpful, farm was gorgeous, and all the facilities exceeded my expectations, its all about the little touches that make a difference!! Will definitely be back!

Lovely, peaceful place. Very comfortable. Only 2 Bell tents sharing the bathroom and toilet. Kitchen cart equipped enough to cook an egg and bacon breakfast. Beautiful location. Great night's sleep as well.

The bell tent was cosy and well decorated with a comfortable bed, chairs, blankets and tables. Fire pit outside and we were supplied with logs (including a refill upon request).

The owner is very honest and helpful. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful (you wouldn't imagine the hotel quality bathroom with nice hot water is in the middle of the orchard field.)

Very well thought out accommodation, private with good distance between tents. Cosy and pretty. Decent bed. Battery/solar lighting was very pretty. Excellent shower room. Owner very welcoming and helpful. Very clean (slight smell of dog), well equipped with many extra touches.

The tent is in a fantastic location, peaceful and with beautiful surroundings and views, but not too far from local amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities provided were top notch - better than most in my experience. The welcome was extremely warm, with lots of useful information provided about the local area.

People next to us played music till half 12 so we couldn’t sleep but that isn’t the owners fault but nothing else to fault.
