We weren’t particularly blown away by the food, though. It was tasty but just too overstated. That was a general observation.

It’s been the second time we come here for a girls night. There were 8 people in our group this time. We all loved our rooms, surrounding area, and spa facilities. The staff were ever so friendly! Easy access, plenty of parking. Best spa hotel in the area in terms of value and great quality!! I’d definitely come back again.

Great views of the countryside and the golf course. Floor to ceiling glass in the spa allowed you to see the view from the jacuzzi and the pool is bigger than the pictures show. The staff were always friendly and very helpful with a big thanks to Ivan at the bar for looking after us. This also applies to the golf pro shop and Tony who was very accommodating in finding us tee times as non-members. We were on the third floor and no issues with noise - slept very soundly.

The restaurant seemed understaffed. The menu was great but we had to wait a while between courses and the food wasn't hot. It also took a while to flag staff down to order drinks.

We had some issues with taxis - but this was not the hotel's fault - they are very happy to book taxis and were very helpful with the issues we had.

Hotel very comfortable - beautiful dining room and grounds and fab swimming pool/spa and relaxation area. We loved visiting Bowood House nearby - we walked there and were picked up in the hotel buggy at the end - it was all great!

Swimming pool was a bit basic . Old metal chairs and steam room was not very clean. Limited food menu and expensive .

We did have dinner on a Saturday so we appreciate it was very busy, but service was slightly slow - maybe they could do with a couple more waiters on busy nights? We did however have a lovely meal and after all we were in no rush!

So much is included in the overnight stay- bowood house & Gardens, woodland Gardens, spa, golf and breakfast. Our room was perfect, very comfortable- we were lucky with the weather and enjoyed drinks in the sunshine overlooking the golf course.

The amount of people hogging sunbeds in the spa. Some weren’t there for hours.

The only disappointment was a spa treatment which I thought was expensive for time taken. (Pedicure)

Truly wonderful setting, with great facilities. Extra bonus was free entry to House and Garden. Food was exceptional with friendly staff who were on hand for any queries.

Nothing - all excellent!

I had a magnificent room at the top of the hotel looking out over grounds and golf course. Room was very well appointed and very clean and comfortable. I had an evening meal which was one of the best meals I have had in some time. Breakfast was very good following which I went to the spa for a swim and relax before my round of golf.

Diner menu was ok, but we didn’t enjoy it enough to eat there for a second night, we opted for a pub up the road for a change.

As we were there with our very young grandchildren the hotel was very accommodating and we felt being looked after. Everyone was really lovely and friendly and we had very good time.

Really friendly, helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our golf buggie ride to the house and playground, Seb was fab! Lovely hotel. Good facilities. Pool was nice. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. One of us has coeliacs disease, the kids gluten free dinner menu was limited but we worked it out and the breakfast gluten free menu was great! No issues.

Keys didn't work well on the rooms

Liked everything.

Breakfast was really good - buffet items and hot breakfast meant that there was so much choice. Staff were wonderful - so helpful and friendly. Treatments were of a high standard.

The service in the bar was very poor and incredibly slow. We waited over 15 minutes to get a drink in a very quiet bar, I know they were serving tables in the restaurant but it was late in the day and the restaurant was nearly empty. The worst bit was were weren’t acknowledged, if we had been greated and told they would be with us as soon they could it would be fine but nothing. I only eventually got served when I grabbed a waiter and he served us while the bar man seemed to walk around in circles. It did improve when another bar man came on and he was very efficient and organised and spoke to people. We had a similar wait at dinner, we were seated and after 20 minutes I had to grab a waitress and ask if we could order drinks and food, I think we were forgotten as people coming in later than us were being served. It didn’t ruin a lovely stay but it’s just something you would expect to be a lot better. If the service had been better it would have been a 10 star review from us.
