The rather over the top rules due to COVID ( eg we had to draw the beddings before leaving) and weak coffee for breakfast. And don’t opt for the room facing the road, it gets noisy at times.

We would have preferred an earlier breakfast time but fully understand the staggered slots due to COVID. There was also confusion over taking our dog, not sure when the rules changed about taking pets but pleased that our booking was still accepted

We had a lovely couple of nights at Brantholme. It's in a great spot, just minutes walk to the town centre, but on the edge of the town away from too much noise and distraction. Breakfast was fab and service throughout the stay was terrific.

Lovely welcome from the owners who made us feel comfortable straight away. The property itself was super clean and really nicely decorated. Our bedroom was very spacious with a great view. Overall it was a lovely place to stay, and we can’t recommend it enough!

We had booked as a dog friendly B&B back in March. Now it’s not dog friendly but our booking was honoured. We were very apprehensive prior to arriving with our pup but hosts were lovely with him and must admit for his first holiday he was well behaved.

Very friendly hosts, good size room, lovely breakfast. Just shame the weather prevented us exploring the garden and patio.

The only gripes we had is the 4pm check on time. We had to book a meal in a nearby establishment for 5pm so it didn’t leave long to un pack, shower and change. There was a tea stain on the window ledge that the previous occupants left. There was also a hair in the bath.

The hosts are excellent and happy to help at all times. The breakfasts are excellent and the dining area is lovely. We stayed in room 4 which is a very comfortable suite that could easily accommodate a family. The owners certainly take covid 19 very seriously and provide more than adequate precautions.

The Welcome Pack. Because of the font used and colours it made it really hard to read and very confusing.

Beautiful Terrace with brilliant views. Big bathroom with shower and bath and plentiful hot water. Excellent breakfast, one of the best I’ve had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with wonderful hosts who were friendly and more than willing to accommodate any requests. Room was comfortable, bed very comfy and view from our room fabulous looking out over the hills and with the benefit of access to the terrace. Covid requirements meant timed sittings and we don't do too early which was what was left for first morning. However hosts more than willing to provide something a little later to eat in our room, and suited us given we were heading out for a special lunch later on that day. Second morning was perfect timing and good breakfast. Overall a wonderful 2 day stay relaxing and chillin'.

We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived by Jo and measures were in place regarding covid to ensure everyone’s safety. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable with a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains (not overlooked at all). Breakfast offered a wide choice and I was provided with gluten free options including lactofree butter and oat milk which was lovely. The car parking facilities are excellent and the location is central but quiet. I’m sure we’ll be back! Thank you for a great stay.

Slightly expensive but think that's just maybe the current climate at the minute.

Location was perfect, hosts were fabulous, more than we would normally spend on a B&B we would prefer our own accommodation (or we would stay in a B&B as a cheaper option) but had a lovely stay and the hosts couldn't have done enough for you. Thank you.

Everything was superb - spotlessly clean, careful attention to being COVID-safe, kind, friendly owners. I can't think of a single thing to say here!

Excellent cooked breakfast - very high quality. Beautiful quiet location. We had a superior double room and the views over the fells were excellent. Only a few minutes easy stroll into the town centre, but at the guest house, you felt far away from the town. Really lovely, quiet garden terrace to sit out on.

One of the best accommodations we have stayed in Lake District. The location is superb for local attractions, restaurants, bars, amenities and also if you are interested in hiking there are plenty of trails with start points nearby. Highly recommended.

The hosts, Jo and Frank were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond for their guests. Breakfast was gorgeous! Beautiful views. The guesthouse is perfectly situated, a couple of minutes walk to the centre of Ambleside - we would recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again when visiting the area. Thank you

Very pleasant hosts, took great care that everyone was comfortable, provided for and covid safe. Rooms are comfortable with more than everything you might need. Breakfast was lovely and most wishes are catered for, you only have to ask if its not there. Would recommend 👌

I wish I could of stayed longer!!

I throughly enjoyed my stay at Brantholme. Our hosts were very kind and pleasant. They even catered to our dietary needs (vegan). Location was spot on. The size of the room was massive. Enjoyed every single part of this trip. Would visit again 10/10

The property is the perfect base for exploring this part of the Lake District! The room was spacious and exceptionally clean and the breakfast was perfect to set us up for our long hikes. The hosts were lovely and friendly and if there was anything that we needed, all we had to do was ask. I would definitely recommend Brantholme to anyone!
