Edinburgh is a great city for walking. I walked to and from the guest house to Waverley station, and to several eating places for breakfast and evening meal

Great. Very inexpensive. Just rather cold in bed. Probably due to the Baltic weather. Maybe an extra blanket in the cupboard. But no problem with cleanliness. Very accessible for the town centre, cafes, shops, buses etc. The main point is that it’s very decent and extremely cheap.

There is not much sound insulation between rooms.

The walls are a bit thin and I could hear other guests. It was also a bit of a walk to Waverley Station (20 min).

The host was friendly and helpful and the room had everything I needed for a short stay. It was reasonably close to attractions, about 15 min walk to Edinburgh Castle and Grassmarket.

I had a very pleasant stay! Although nothing really so special I think the location is good, the room spatious enough and the bed excellent. You can walk into the city center in about 10-15 mins and buses from this area take you basically anywhere in Edinburgh. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Kettle was broken, bed was rock-hard, window didn't open, only a loud electric heater to heat to the room, no shower gel, tap water tasted metallic. Also no thumb lock on the door, which I believe is illegal and against fire safety regulations.

The booking was incorrect as we were expecting a bed&breakfast. The host was more agreeable and understood our position. The issue was resolved quickly. Even if we did not stay, the host is the reason you should stay. This is the best host ever met.

Room 13 was freezing. ( 26 building) Even they give you electric heater - it helps only for the room. Private bathroom was so freezing. I basically was shaking from the cold each time I was going there. I had to change the room next day because of that.

Location is very good. There is TV , and kettle ( also coffee, tea, cookies). Room 7 is good one with modern bathroom. ( 24 building)

the room was very dusty you saw the radiator inside with full of dust. it was very awful to see it.and it had stopped at midnight i guess they want to save energy hopefully the room was not very cold that we were fallen asleep

location is great , easy access to central town to visit historical places. many restaurants are surrounding the hotel that you don't worry for hungry . the bed and pillows were soft which made us good sleep. hotel was clam insider and outside
