Parking was an issue and I had to park a good 15mins walk from the hotel.

Room, extremely comfortable bed. Situated to the rear of the building, garden beautiful. Ice cream area and garden very lovely. Service very high standard from all members of staff. Went out of their way to help.

Stayed in the snug room for 2 nights over the weekend for a wedding . Absolutely superb facilities and the food was to die for . The staff were brilliant . A stunning hotel.

A beautiful period house decorated in keeping with its age and full of interest. Our room was well appointed, dinky but we expected that. It was lovely, clean and warm. The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast offering was excellent, a good choice of fruit, cereal, hot drinks etc and the cooked breakfast menu was extensive and catered for all tastes. The vegetarian option was first class. Located a 5 minute walk into the main town we found this perfect, close to restaurants, coffee shops etc but away from the hustle and bustle. A bus stop was just opposite the hotel if you didn’t want to use the car for exploring. The hotel had a handy car park for guest use and the pretty garden was a quiet haven for relaxing with a bar facility. There was also a communal guest lounge for guests to use.All in all the Bridge House was the perfect choice for us.

I had to leave.

Excellent staff. You always pick up the energy around a place and staff that makes the difference. Bridge House is such a place. Attentive, friendly, genuine and very helpful staff. The room had many extras you normally don't see. When I left very early in the morning, a package with croissants and fruits was waiting for me in the reception. The breakfast was amazing since you could order from a menu, all inclusive. Can't wait to get back!

Not the properties fault but even though I had added a dog to my booking.com search and had it confirmed , the hotel was not informed and there is an additional daily charge for a pet dog.

Attention to detail in both the furnishings and the breakfast offering. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Standard double was quite small for a couple, baby and dog but the staff made it work with the layout to add a cot bed and there is lots of choice of other rooms.

Amazing breakfast, staff very friendly. Very child and dog friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. Beautiful rooms and decor and great location.

Great team who could not have been more helpful. Honesty bar for out of hours. Tastefully decorated house with an abundance of history. Fantastic breakfast included in the price and nothing was too much trouble. Piping hot bath too, you don't get that too often in my experience. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and pubs it clearly showcases Bridport in the best possible way
