Great location for travelling to all places on Islay. Very good breakfast, good selection on evening menu too, staff very friendly and welcoming, hotel clean throughout, we would highly recommend for a visit.

This IS the place to stay on Islay. Under the watchful eye of manager, Ian, nothing is left to chance. Breakfast and staff lovely, dining room beautiful. Centrally located, rooms well appointed and clean. Warm. Friendly and knowledgeable Ian is happy and available to answer all questions, make local suggestions and call other services on your behalf. Stay at Bridgend if you can! You won't be disappointed!

The room furniture is a tad dated, then again it's quiet a remote location and it also adds to the charm.

Excellent central location on Islay. Really easy to find. The staff is very helpful and on premise they have everything you need. Also useful there's a bus stop just in front of the hotel. Breakfast is Scottish style, thiugh there's also cold plates to accommodate.

The Bridgend Hotel is an ideal cozy getaway destination on Islay. All the creature comforts of home, including a terrific breakfast, but also plenty of local charm. The staff, in particular, made us feel welcome and were very helpful. In particular, Ken deserves a shout-out!

These are minor complaints, but I felt that there was no drawer storage in my room, and the range of teas/ coffees within the room could be improved. Bearing in mind that I was a solo traveller occupying a double room, these could become a source of irritation.

The breakfasts were very good, with a cold table and a choice of cooked dishes. The Eggs Benedict were good! I had a dinner in the hotel five nights, and I enjoyed these as well. The location of the hotel at Bridgend is well placed for exploring the island. Th

Having said that about the food, my only gripe is that the eggs served at breakfast were disappointing. Our poached eggs were more like hard-boiled eggs, and scrambled eggs were much too dry.

It was a very comfortable stay, all the staff were so friendly and the food delicious - we didn’t have a car so restaurant options were limited (as the bus service runs every 2 hours!), but it was easy for us to eat in-house and the food was great! The bus stop is directly outside the hotel which was very convenient.

The shower stall had a bit of discoloration in the grout, perhaps even a bit of mold. If that were removed, 5 stars across the board.

The food at the Bridgend was magnificent especially the dinners. The staff was wonderful especially Meghan, Lauren, and Kenny in that they were most accommodating and helpful. I didn’t want for anything!

I cannot fault the hotel or their staff. We had to stay an extra night due to the ferry sailing being cancelled and the hotel was very helpful in ensuring that they could accommodate us.

Breakfast was excellent! The best Poached eggs I have had. Great menu to choose from and staff were very helpful to meet any special requests.

The only thing that could be better is a change in menu items as they were the same everyday and we expected more fish on the menu 🤣

Breakfast was fantastic / other mraks were as well . Staff we exceptionally friendly and helpful and tried their best to make our stay a memorable one 🩵 Location was great as it was central . We had a car so we drove everywhere very easily

Party noise to well past 1am. Staff didn't cope well with an extra guest for dinner while servicing a party of about 10 and another small group.

Nice little hotel / pub / restaurant. Food was good.
