Car park was congested from the start, the spa / pool was tiny and overrun with kids and teenagers. Not somewhere that you could go to relax! Also, there was a conference being held there and this made everything very busy. It really wasn't the relaxing get away that I had expected / paid for. A real shame because the property has potential.

The hotel was clean, spacious and the room was much the same. Bed was comfortable but it was very standard issue, and nothing really stood out. Breakfast was good, and plenty of options for everyone.

Checking in was chaotic with lots of miscommunication. I asked for a shower and my friend wanted a bath but we were told that I could not have a walk-in shower. My friend got given one when she wanted a bath so we had to swap rooms. When we went in the restaurant for dinner, there were no staff visible for 5 minutes. There were large puddles of water in the spa and I nearly fell twice.

Liked that the pool was accessible and the water was warm. The bedrooms were lovely and a good size.

It was impressive how housekeeping had set up the room to welcome me for my birthday.

It was very noisy in the room, even with closed windows and bedroom door, you could hear everything from outside and from the hallways. Reception does have a notice saying that during parties or events there will be noise. The booking of the rooms is a bit confusing.. I realised the next day of my staying that I received a different type of room than my original booking. Not complaining, just an advice to set the rooms “names/types” updated on the booking.com. The bedsheets and towels had an odd smell, I believe the washer or drier needs a filter cleaning.

Hotel is located in a great location (close to Asda, KFC, etc), easy to access it and with plenty of parking spaces. At the reception it was straightforward, no issues. Food is good, the restaurant has a la carte, a set 3 course and bar menu. Breakfast is very varied with plenty of choices from pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals and traditional English breakfast. Room was clean, spacious and equipped with complimentary mini bar, coffee/tea, iron and ironing board, hair drier, full toiletries and towels.

No hot tub in spa area. Rushed us to finish breakfast both mornings!! Had to ask for loo roll as none replaced.

They ran out of cider on the pump in the bar and the only alternative was fruit flavoured bottled cider.

Room was nice, comfy beds and it had an ironing board, iron and trouser press in the room.

4 events on so noise levels very high and returned to find the Police in attendance after some sort of kicking off resulting in one of the glass main entrance doors being broken in.

I didn't like the fact that some people came to breakfast wearing pyjamas! In a hotel where the areas are common with other people especially eating I think a rule about correct attire should be in place.

I like this hotel as it's convenient and friendly.

Breakfast they didn't have any porridge and ask if they had anymore and waitress said no then no eggs had to ask again waited about 15mins for the eggs and I wasn't the only one waiting so didn't get any as my breakfast was getting cold but then I observed and they came out filling up the trays for a large table the last day for breakfast was good the staff were on the ball there just wasn't any management to keep things running which was a shame as the staff could only do so much. We also booked the 3 course meal for 4 ppl as it was a special birthday starters was fine but then had to wait over 3 quarters of an hour for mains the staff was very embarrassed as everyone was asking where there dinner was and there wasn't a lot of people in there again didn't see management then again waited ages for our deserts so not sure what the chef was playing at so hopefully when we return near Christmas everything should be good and the girl who's name was summer you were extremely good and helpful little elf

The house keepers was excellent and thank you to Jan,Jackie and Sarah with all your help nothing was to much trouble reception was good aswell and hotel was clean we try to have the same room which so far they have honoured 😀 the bar was ok

Breakfast is a little expensive (though the choice is excellent), and both the rooms and the pool and spa area could do with updating - they don't look like they've been refurbished in a while and a number of the showers at the pool don't work.

The staff here are excellent, super polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is generally very good value for the price. Rooms were clean.

Very bright outside lights shone into my room all night. Blackout blinds/lining would have made it easier to sleep.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean accommodation. We’re flexible when I asked about the possibility of a slightly earlier check in as I wanted to arrive on time for a family event. Great breakfast!
