I was put into a family room in the tower which entailed a long flight of stairs and then another steep set to access room. Bathroom was very tired and in need of modernisation although the water pressure was excellent.

Beautiful location and stunning communal areas with decor in keeping with the age of the building. Bed was very comfortable and the only noise was first thing in the morning from outside.

Nowhere to park, (blues festival)no heating whatsoever, told reception at 7.30pm on the Friday, first night and nothing happened Told reception 10am Saturday, heater was provided immediately with apologies. Building site outside window (room 44) and gentlemen standing smoking outside aforementioned window with loud walkie talkie.,people coming in and out of emergency exit slamming doors and loud chat.

Normally cheap but it was the Bosworth Blues weekend and rooms were limited so price was way more than I'd paid before.

On our way to Birkenhead for the weekend we broke our journey at Bosworth Hall. We were offered a very good price and a massive and very stylish room. So we booked the same place on our way back - and got a box room in which nothing worked! There must be some lesson to learn here!

buffet dinner was poor, limited choices for non-meat eaters and quality was shocking....not what I expected for our anniversary. If you're on a bus tour group then it's perfect, not for a romantic meal for two.

Breakfast was great. good value, plenty of choice and good quality. buffet dinner however was poor, limited choices for non-meat eaters and quality was shocking....not what I expected for our anniversary. Bathroom smelt of the kitchen, I can only assume we were over the top of it.

Restaurant was locked, could order food at the bar but food stopped at 8pm. Staff very helpful and we ordered at 7:50, though no where to sit at a table, we sat in a corridor on a sofa with a low table - bizarre. Shower or bath was a struggle real lack of water pressure.. but managed a splash.

Final morning at breakfast when asked we were told there was no butter or margarine at all as they were waiting on a delivery!!??!! Rooms and bedding clean but need updating desperately. Some items were missing, bath mat, tea bags, toilet roll.

Good value for money. Breakfast quite good, however not easy obtaining items for allergies/intolerances. Even though this is advertised in the dining room. The second morning GF bread didn’t arrive after asking. Old part of building is lovely as are the grounds.

Shower in morning was tepid with not enough time to follow this up. Much of hotel upkeep looks tired. Our room was along very long corridor and whole feel once past impressive front external facade was down market rather than matching the price we paid.

We were there for a party at the hotel so location was perfect.

There was a couple of rude staff. Particularly the older lady on reception. She was very unhelpful and, when asked simple questions answered with sarcasm, which we felt was incredibly unprofessional and immediately set the tone for the stay.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The facilities were also clean. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options.

The paid WiFi was awful. I don't mind if I have to pay £7 and the WiFi is good and works consistently, but it was only ever on one bar or would cut out completely. When you're traveling for work and on meetings, it's a real let down. The free WiFi in the restaurant/bars etc was no better and just as bad that I had to just give up in the end. The paid WiFi in your room is per device as well which is pretty outdated, and equally doesn't work. If you're travelling not for work and want to switch everything off, then this is the place. But the service shouldn't be offered at all if you can't meet it. I was also told that the main bar would be the best place to work, but then there was no where to get a drink as everything was closed, and was told I would have to walk back to the spa area to get any food or drink (this was between 11 and 1pm when I wasn't the only person who was looking to grab just a coffee or soft drink!). In the end I gave up working and left at 1pm. The mattress springs in the bedroom were clunky and popped through the night so probably needs replacing, and the doors are very thin - Could hear everytime some passed the room and as the bed is right near the door, it would wake you up.

The grounds were lovely and building itself was nice. The spa was also a good size pool and jacuzzi, and my massage was excellent! Staff team were all lovely and helpful. Room had everything you needed.

housekeeping, or lack thereof. room was not serviced at all, and had to wait for clean towels.

overall I thought the hotel was excellent, and great value for money. where they let themselves down was the lack of housekeeping. I expected my room to have been serviced on my return but it was not, which was disappointing.

Lovely building and probably able to be high-end but, mid week, it has budget hotel feel
    • Business trip

The hotel gives the impression of being high-end and it may well be able to put in a really lovely wedding event and may have a different feel at the weekend but, mid week, it was full of tradesmen, high vis jackets, dirty workwear etc - which was fine for me and not a problem in the slightest ... I was there for work .... but, if I had gone there with my wife expecting luxury and exclusivity, that is not the mid-week experience when it just feels very budget hotel

The Hotel is a lovely and very impressive building externally and pretty good internally. I didn't check out the gym, pool or spa

The fact the restaurant closed at 21.00 hours. We were greeted with you need to pay xx on arrival at reception. We normally charge everything to the room and pay our bill on departure. That wasn't an option it was pay as you go.

The location was great for a one night stay. The bar and breakfast serving staff were friendly and helpful. The spa, had we time to use appeared to be very inexpensive. Relaxing atmosphere.
