Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo hand-wash or soap to wash hands. There is nothing provided to have a shower, no shower gel. Some of the blind was missing, and one of the sockets didn't work. One of the beds was broken and had a piece of wood covering it.
Easy check-in, friendly staff, great location, and exceptionally clean. A comfortable nights sleep. I would say not suitable for small children as lots of noise from outside from bars. A basic hotel and for a short stay more than suitable. In my opinion, it was overpriced.

United KingdomEach bed only had one pillow so I had to ask receptionist for 2 more pillows and the bedroom window not very soundproof so street noise was quite annoying, but this is city centre and we anticipated noise by bringing ear plugs.
Although the room was small and could have benefited from better curtains and windows, the room was comfortable, with a great bathroom and is good value for money but we were glad that we had packed ear plugs and eye masks, we slept well. The hotel is very convenient for Lime Street railway station.

United KingdomI couldn’t complain about little things I just enjoyed the two nights yes the karaoke or karate down below was loud but I can’t complain about that it’s in a busy area I liked the property.
Straight off the train less than 8 mins to the entrance very easy to find plus surrounded in a very lively area the place had good security the reception staff were very helpful I liked the set up for 2 nights at £76 on a bank holiday you can’t go wrong. The staff were very helpful the bed very comfy I liked the set up .

GermanyEverything is “spare” about the place. It makes it easy to keep clean, certainly, but it went too beyond “minimalist” to lack the charm that the old building has. We got an upgrade to a suite, which thankfully placed us on the quieter side of the very loud intersection. (Liverpool is loud and dirty!) But the upgrade was also spare. The beautiful bathtub had neither shower gel nor bubble bath; the bathroom had a TV (but no remote and seemed kinda creepy); and a single chair in the room was without a desk (despite room for one). With just a little more love, this room could have been a real seller!
Location just minutes from the train station couldn’t be better. Staff was wonderful. Super clean facility.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaBlinds didn’t shut all of the way so very bright. Located right near lots of bars and pubs that are open until 2/2.30am - very loud, wouldn’t recommend if you are a light sleeper and you can’t block the sound out even with both windows shut. Lots of black mould on the exterior windows
Really well located to Liverpool lime street, Liverpool one and the Empire Theatre. Nice clean room

JerseyThe tv wasn't working. I reported this & a staff member arranged to retune it whilst I went out for the day. However, on my return it was still not working. The white blinds on the bedroom window did not offer full privacy from the windows across the road or street below so you needed to be careful when changing or getting in and out of the ensuite shower and toilet.
The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well and so did the Wi-Fi. It was a short walk away from the city centre & Lime Street station. The theatres were all within walking distance & there was a Lidl supermarket nearby. 3 Wetherspoons pubs for reasonably priced food and drink were between 5-15 mins walk away.

GermanyThe tv was glitching out and we couldn't watch snooker. There is a bathtub and the showerhead couldn't be turned on, maybe it was something they disabled to avoid accidents or maybe I should have asked the staff but taking a bath was nice. It was also football season and every hotel was getting booked out so I feel as though I have been robbed a little with the price I paid.
Alright hotel, clean, spaceous, does the job. The building has beautiful interior. If you need a place to crash or aren't concerned with vanity, this is actually a very comfortable room. Huge bathroom, as big as the room.

United KingdomThe only thing I didn't like was the sink in the bathroom, very tiny, but it was understandable since the size of the room.
The room was nice, the location was perfect being so close to the station. The staff were very supportive and kind. I only stayed a couple of nights but would definitely think about staying here again if visiting Liverpool again. The price for the room for 2 nights was very reasonable too.

United KingdomThere are stairs and its a long narrow corridoor to rooms. We had room 11. Blinds only half way so bright. Couldn't close external window so noisy. Mattresses need turning as dips on edge. Water took ages to warm up and the shower upright did not hold the shower head in position.7
Enterance is not in the bar, its a few metres down, a seperate door. Sign is above. Staff are fabulous. Very helpful. Room 11 is a good size. 3 single beds plenty of space. Good location opposite a car park and close to cental and lime Street station. Irish bars and St John's shopping centre are close by.
