My pall dragging me up all the stairs to the fourth floor. Not the hotels fault. It's all on her. Lol. One of the lights in the bathroom kept flashing on and off.

I loved the fact it is old fashioned/style but did not smell foustie or damp.

The walls between rooms were thin, so you could hear next door. The air conditioning was also quite noisy.

Very clean, well equipped, the staff were very friendly and the beds were comfortable.

The hotel is a bit old and you can tell from the room. Corridors were in low energy mode so the light will be on when you walk pass it. Kinda scary.

Amazing location. Literally 1min walk away from Birmingham New Street station.

Rang 24 hour room service they took the money but never sent up the food we ordered we did query at reception and was given a full refund

Not having any windows that seemed to open plus they were frosted so you couldn't see out of them. No drawers. Never enough tea and coffee and milk supplies, often phoning down and sometimes difficult to get hold of someone. Didn't like being put a long way up the second floor, the lift didn't go far enough and no one offered to help with luggage.

Location. Comfy bed and pillows. Stunning bathroom.

The lift is very small on busy times. Need to renewal of some items such as hangers in the bathroom. Missing a magnifying mirror in the bathroom.

Excellent location, room size (svita), very friendly staff. The bed was very good with excellent sheets and pillows. We loved the coffee machine.

Parts of it could do with some maintenance. There was scaffolding outside so maybe that’s already in progress. But it is an old building so to be expected.

Beautiful old building with lots of character in a brilliant location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly which is a massive bonus point and good sized bedrooms which are very clean and tidy.

Corridors were very tired We couldn't see out of the window due to scaffolding and plastic sheets - this wasn't made clear to us when booking or when we were checking in. £29 for a glass of wine and a gin and tonic at the bar was ridiculous. No fridge in the room

Room.we had booked had a leak unable to have a suite. Good alternative and refund given. However was extremely noisy untill about 1.30 am with a club next door and street noise.

Check in time was 3 o’clock there was no deviation from that. Until I had opportunity to upgrade the room. Which I did extra £25. The continental breakfast wasn’t really continental there was no cheese or any cut meats. I had salmon scrambled eggs. However there was an extra cost of £5 for the salmon. Which I have never had having breakfast included. The breakfast room looked very tired and could do with a lick of paint a deep clean and some of the light bulbs weren’t working. All the plants were plastic and were very dusty. It could really do with a general uplift.

Seemed to be above washing room could hear machine going late into the night and from early morning. Bit of a frosty reception on arrival.

Room clean, had a bath and shower, central location. Very pleasant staff on departure.
