There were quite a few ants which would worry me if it was warmer weather as they could go crazy.

Welcome basket was lovely. Staff helpful and surroundings beautiful. The cat was so friendly. Hot tub was great.

My bedroom door did stick, had to really push to open it so I had to leave it slightly open. Didn't cause a major problem.

The chalet had everything we needed. A lovely welcome pack on arrival with cereal, croissants, jam, butter, hot chocolate, bread and biscuits in it. Fresh milk in the fridge. Such a lovely touch. Also treats, towels and bowls for our dog.

There was no television or wi-fi connection so we were unable to settle down and watch a film in the evening. Logs a bit pricey so we took our own.

The log burner and the hot-tub made it the perfect relaxing getaway for us. The was a lovely outside space too with firepit and BBQ. The location is good and really peaceful. The kitchenette is small but well equipped and I liked the added touches of tea-towels, washing up liquid and the welcome pack. We would definitely stay again.

Beds were very tired. All support legs snapped and frame snapped. Reported before we left and was told they would replace it. The single bed legs were not much better. Toilet brush was broken and handle was on the floor on arrival. No biggy and just nit picking.

In a remote location away from the hustle and bustle. Very quiet and great remote location with added hot tub. Nice on site cafe too.

Would have been nice to have had ice tray in fridge or access to ice machine? Lighting around car park. Was very dark on arrival, but we brought a torch which came in handy? Shower was low in pressure or needed bigger shower head?

Was cosy, warm & comfortable. Good utensils for everything needed in kitchen. Basket of necessities came in handy. Spa was excellent! Nice well maintained gardens. Plenty outdoor space for dog. Very quiet & peaceful.

I’m a little picky but.. 1) I’d have liked some washing up liquid as the plates/pans needed a wash before use and after use 2) a lick of paint on the decking and decking fence would have just made it look a little more presentable. 3) hot tub itself was clean and so welcoming but the lid was pretty dirty. Could have been cleaned over. 4) Windows needed a clean. But these wouldn’t deter me from going again as it was a lovely stay.

The squirrel lodge was a lovely place set in a beautiful location with lovely surroundings perfect for a scenic walk. The cafe was handy and the welcome hamper was a nice touch and we would definitely return. Spent an evening with Lilly who was gorgeous.

Would be good to either have an oven or have it more clearly advertised that it doesn't have one. But still great to have some cooking facilities, just didn't work for some of the food we brought.

Beautiful garden location, felt private even in a campsite. The Staff even put up birthday decorations for my wife.

Soft furnishings (sofa/blinds/cushions/throw) were a little well worn. Decor could do with a refresh.

Beautiful, well-kept site. Hot tub was great. Nice to have the cafe in site. Very nice added extras, eg welcome hamper and treats for our dog. Good to have shampoo etc provided in the shower. Lovely private garden area with furniture, fire pit and BBQ.

We both loved the location and the privacy that came with it, the hot tub of course, the multiple areas to be in the accommodation, the green spaces on site for the dogs and the walks on the doorstep!

Location is the only thing quite far from any pubs so we always had to drive out. Nearest pub being 4.6 miles away.

The quirkiness of the lodge and the hot tub being an extra bonus, well-equipped, comfortable and clean.
