Not much its was as expected and fab hideaway

Great location comfortable and easy to walk around the local area. Pub is a 5 minute stroll and the headland and beach 10 mins walk away . Its an aged property but presented well and you have to expect likewise

Cosy, great shower! Didn't use the kitchen as was out a lot but looked good. The garden was nice. Good view when stood up in garden and from the window. Liked watching the bats flying about at night.

Car parking was a bit distant, although the brochure warned about that. Bathroom was very nice, but condensation didn't really clear after showers, even with the extractor fan left on for hours. But minor niggles only, general impression very good.

Beautiful location. Very characterful building, roomy and warm. Very comfortable bed (previous reviews had criticised the mattress - we found it fine). Well-equipped kitchen.

Only one seat outside. Should have been two. No dinner plates in kitchen. Both issues resolved quickly by agent. Thank you to Menia cottages .

The accommodation is an old house and as such isn't like a brand new room. However we knew this when we booked and loved the character the property provided.

Brilliant location to explore Anglesey, quiet and set back with private garden and beautiful views. Was very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed and more

Linen, bathroom and kitchen were clean, but the general feel was a bit drab. The carpets and soft furnishings were musty and dirty. Damp walls and flies could be associated with an old building, but the various botches with expanding foam suggested limited upkeep. Little things like no wooden spoon or sieve shows a lack of maintenance, as I would assume they were once present judging by the rest of the kitchen? The handbook suggested parking in an area shared with the other part of the house. This was always full, mainly due to inconsiderate parking, so we just parked on the lane.

Location and the views were excellent and the main selling points. Nice welcome pack with milk in the fridge, biscuits, Welsh cakes, tea and coffee provided. Kitchen was mostly well stocked and a tea towel, dish cloth and washing up liquid which are helpful and often overlooked.

The bed is the worst thing i have ever tried to sleep on, i spent 2.5 nights of my stay sleeping on the sofa cushions on the floor as there is zero support from the mattress, two people on this double bed just roll into the middles and the springs just dig into you, both myself and partner have very little sleep due to discomfort. Which was really bad and a true shame, as you can tell money has been spent in the overall property. We messaged using the booking com messaging service at 6:30am after the first night (saturday morning)to explain the issue with the mattress, but didn't hear back from the company until 3:50pm on the monday after our stay which was a voicemail, saying that the mattress was pointed out to maintanence and if we would like to follow this up to drop them a call. Which i did, explain to the property customer support the issue and they were fully understanding and said "a bed is one of the key things in anyone stay" after asking for a spot of compensation as this isn't a cheap stay, the agent was again understanding and said they would pass it onto the property owner. Since then things have just gone bad to worse, didn't hear from the the following day so called back up, needed to explain everything again and once again agent was understanding and said they would get back in touch in a few hours after chasing owner...we heard nothing back so ran the following day to be told a email was sent to me regarding the outcome. In a nut shell "a mattress is personal preference and they deem nothing is wrong with it so no refund of any kind will be made" but ask for photos, im unsure what a photo of a mattress is going to prove as it looks normal until you sit on it, the fact i messaged after the first night wasn't good enough proof either. AVOID if you want a good night sleep!

it was very clean inside and out, the layout of the rooms were very good and the decor was very suitable for the age of the building. You have sky tv (some channels don't have signal ITV etc) but you have freeview for these channels. The internet is basic and low speed but i would put that to the remote location of the property. The bathroom was clean and shower was good (is missing a part which im guessing is a handle, so took a little while to work out how to turn it on).

Lovely quirky, comfy good view of the sea, fab location 5 min walk from the cliffs and coastguard lookout- watched the sunset up there
