Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is nothing else around here, so your only choice for food or drink is The Joiners Arms, which limits options. If you want a beer at the Garden Rooms, £20 for 4 bottles of Heineken! Make use of the mini fridge for your own drinks.
Stunning room with everything you'd need. There is a mini fridge and iron in the room which was ideal. Hot tub was great, especially with the little table beside it. Paid for the addtional cocktail kit, which went down a treat.

United KingdomThe bed although comfortable in the standard accommodation is in the small side so be aware if you're used to more space
The quirky accommodation is close to fabulous beaches and The Joiners Arms for breakfast and dinner is superb. Lovely little gift box for the dog was a nice touch

United KingdomWe asked if there was anything extra that could be done to acknowledge we were celebrating a birthday and we received confirmation that this was added to the booking which was a lovely surprise as a lot of places won’t, but when we arrived nothing had been done and this didn’t change during our 2 night stay either. Property was not as private as photos make it appear, we knew we had a shared entrance and this was ultimately fine but even the upgraded cabins with hot tubs we could see straight into when walking past and all rooms were very close together overall so I’m glad we didn’t upgrade as feel it would have been wasted money. Shower allowed a lot of water to run out of it so floor was wet within minutes of use and bath mat was soaking wet. It was difficult to get a drink/snacks in the evening unless you walked across courtyard to the bar (weather was awful so not ideal). The weather seal had gone in the patio doors so the bottom of the curtains had mould growing on them and the doors into the room itself weren’t fitted very well. The walk to the local pub for food was through a caravan site that didn’t look the nicest considering the outward portrayal of the location/Manor House etc. The floor was dirty and seemed as if it needed a good hoover/sweep. Our feet were covered in dirt the moment we took our shoes off and this was after the staff had been in and emptied our bins so we’d have expected things to be cleaned.
Looked lovely on initial arrival and bed was comfy. Food at the local pub down the road which is partnered with the property was lovely and staff very attentive.

United Kingdomthere was mold all along the door and curtains. wifi was not very good. it’s in the middle of nowhere’s there’s nothing close by, the local pub ‘joiners arms’ was awful! very rude staff and was very crammed even though we booked in advance, and the menu was very expensive and limited, we had to leave. you get a breakfast included in the price from joiners arms but this was not nice and we waited 35mins to be served with out breakfast as their was only one member of staff. lack of resources, would have liked a decent sized fridge. there’s no activities or walk ways near.. i’d say expensive for what you get.
lovely interior and design, private space outside was lovely! and the hot tub was nice.

United Kingdomits pretty hard to find anything we didn't like if i had to be picky the gravel path to the garden room made it a little difficult to pull a case along, neighbours in the garden room next door were very noisy which was a bit of a shame as we were sat outside and they had the tv on so loud with the doors open we could hear every word.
really nice accommodation, everything you could need was in the room, loved the hot tub and was great to have the chiminea with provided wood to be able to sit outside at night.

United KingdomThere is nothing to really dislike about the property it self. I had to pay a large amount more to upgrade the stay to move our date which was annoying. Breakfast was also a little disappointing at the Joiners pub. There was not much left in the continental breakfast options and when asked what I would like on my breakfast I was told I could only have fried egg as this was the only thing the chef was putting on sandwiches (however the menu said your choice of eggs) which seemed a little strange. The meal the night before from Joiners was very tasty but very pricey for the portion size!
Wow…to put this into one word. The accommodation is incredible! Very modern and spotlessly clean. The hot tub made our entire trip- we sat in our perfectly warm tub late at night with a clear night sky- absolute bliss…

United KingdomMore sign posting would be good; high visibility cabin numbers and on the walk to the Joiners Arms for breakfast. And the path thru the site to the Hall for weddings isnt heel friendly at all. Likewise the path to their pub isn’t lit and suited only sturdy footwear.
Lovely rooms. We had a family room with king size and bunk beds, large walk in shower, microwave, fridge, kitchen essentials Outside was a hot tub and chiminea.

United KingdomOnly issue was we paid extra for the ‘ultimate double room’ but really it was just 2 beds pushed together, so there was a small uncomfortable gap in the middle of the bed.
Perfect for a few days getaway. Breakfast was amazing with plenty to choose from (and included in the price!), our room was spotless and staff were really helpful. It snowed the majority of our trip so the hot tub was a lovely addition too!

United KingdomThe hot tub was cold when we arrived, informed a few members of staff throughout the day, two men came out to see but nothing got done, said it had just been emptied and filled back up, managed to get in it for around an hour at 9pm as it was too cold. It was the main reason for booking, did also say to the staff member whilst checking out, an apology was unfortunately all we could get at that point.
The room was amazing, good location, private, just along from a nice pub, and brekkie delivered in the morning too
