Only downside is that the pillows are in dire need of an upgrade. Each one was awful. The staircase is also very steep and narrow. So anyone who is elderly or nervous about carrying suitcases up the stairs or going up and down to the bathroom in the middle of the night might want to reconsider.

An excellent stay - Very quaint, cosy with lovely finishing touches in a beautiful part of the world

    Nothing to dislike.

The cottage was very welcoming and cosy. Enjoyed our stay despite the bit of confusion with the parking bay.

There was nothing negative about this property.

It was clean, spacious but cosy and comfortable. There were little touches that made it stand out from other places. The location was ideal for a variety of activities.

Only minor things - would have been nice to have bright reading light somewhere downstairs (lots of light, but all quite dim); hinge upstairs needs oiling; instructions for car parking key collection could be clearer.

Very nice place is great quiet (but convenient) location with nearby pubs/cafes/restaurants and parking

Points re hygiene already responded to by owner - both phone call & email. Many thanks. Cigarette stubs outside back door. No mat by rear door and one at front small, meaning lounge floor tended to get wet n dirty further in. Personally feel cushions on beds and multiple ornaments on surfaces are unnecessary when on vacation. (SEVEN cushions on bed in Bear Hotel. Why cushions at all? Beds for sleeping in, not just looking at! First thing to do when arrive tired is to put cushions in wardrobe, on chair etc. Interior designers have much to answer for!)

Gifts left for our arrival - incl beautiful flowers. Washing machine AND airer. Iron & board also appreciated. Beds comfortable. Convenient parking space wonderful.

If you park up directly outside the house to unload your car when you arrive, beware the outside light - both my husband and my son managed to bump their heads on it when squeezing past the car!

A beautiful, quaint little cottage, full of character. Small, but well equipped with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Location is excellent, just off the high street in pretty Crickhowell. The nearby private parking space was invaluable.

The cottage was beautiful- a very minor thing...there was no salt and pepper in the kitchen. Very handy having 3 pubs in close proximity but the pub next door had some live music on Saturday night - which we quite enjoyed listening to from the garden, although it was difficult to talk to each other. A maintenance issue - the floor board is broken as you step.out of bed.

Central location in Crickhowell with excellent walks from the door. The decor is superb. The beds were comfy and the cottage was lively and cool in the hot weather.

We are certainly glad we brought our smaller car. The property is on a very narrow lane and the private parking spot is on the smaller side. It all worked out, but bigger vehicles won't fare well.

Perfect location for exploring the area. Charming town. Wonderfully cozy inside and we even managed to cook in the kitchen one night.
