Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel was a little disjointed.. our rooms could only be accessed from the lobby/bar/restaurant area by quite a walk and 2 lifts.. or by going outside and along.. be advised if you have some mobility problems. But the big issue which caused us to be grumpy was the £7.50 parking charge for each motorbike.. yep.. each bike, same as a big car.. so we had 4 bikes in a bay next to a single Range Rover.. we pay £30 for a parking space, they pay £7.50... should we have moved each of our bikes into individual bays..? we aren't so mean.. bad show.
Stayed here with a group of friends on a short tour of the west country. Overall we found this a reasonable overnight stay. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were engaging and friendly. We ate in the Bardolino restaurant in the evening, which is actually in the health club a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was up to standard too, so all good there too.

United KingdomThe bed was a little hard for my liking but that is of course a personal preference.
The hotel was beautiful and in a lovely location, the rooms were clean and modern and fit for purpose. The food was lovely and so much to choose from. The lounge facilities was great and the staff were fantastic. We also made the most of the club and spa facilities which were top notch.

United KingdomThe only downside I would say is that at the check-in, we did not feel particularly welcomed, and no info we're provided about parking, breakfast times, facilities, etc . We had to ask for everything. It might be that we arrived a bit later. I mean, no big deal about it, just not a great first impression. Otherwise, the staff from reception we're great for the rest of the stay.
Everything was excellent, really impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, breakfast was great and the staff from breakfast was amazing. We dinned in Marco Pierre restaurant, the food was great, and the service was excellent. We had been served by Paulina, which was really professional and lovely 😍 We also used the spa facilities, which are amazing as well.

United KingdomI was charged twice. First money was taken out of my account by the booking company, then money was taken directly from my credit card. I had paid for the parking on my card. On leaving the hotel I asked if I needed to sign out, the receptionist checked my account, linked to my room number, and said there was not need to sign out and there were no additional costs. A month later my credit card bill recorded the room amount and breakfast had been charged by both the booking company and the Hilton Hotel. The receptionist has assured me that the money has been returned but I am very concerned that they took money from my card without my permission. I need reassurance that my card details are stored securely, are removed when I leave and cannot be accessed without my permission. Naturally the accounts department were not open at the weekend so it could not be checked. The English Customer Careline phone number only operated on USA time and so I could not have a conversation with them. The speed of the receptionist return of the money implies she knows this is a mistake and therefore I presume this is a security weakness in the system. I advise checking your credit card bill when visiting any Hilton. I advise you ask for a confirmation of the amount spent, including, £zero at the point of exit. I will continue to check my cards for unauthorised activity and cross my fingers they sort out this security problem.
I had breakfast. Very nice but the American pancakes were a little dry especially as I had expected thinner crepes style pancakes. I saw the price for visiting guest of £17.50. Although a wide ranging ang hearty breakfast I think that cost was steep.

United KingdomI know working can be stressful, most of the staff were amazing and friendly, but some were quite grumpy and ignored my daughter a few times, when she was politely asking for a drink.
Such a lovely place, a really calm and peaceful place, spa was very relaxing us as a family enjoy hotel nights away making memories, the gardens where really pretty and was able to get some really great pictures.

United KingdomCouldn't order room service, phone not working I had to go to the restaurant and order, and then the menu i downloaded from the room with scan code was an old menu. When i returned home, i had a parking fine, i paid £7.50 for parking in arrival and entered my reg number, i am still fighting an appeal, and they say i owe £100. This has been very stressful
