How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Perfect location, stunning little village. 10 minute drive to Elan Valley. Bed was SO comfortable, we both had the best nights sleep. Facilities were super clean, everything that was needed for your stay is provided. Hosts are super nice and friendly. Plenty of information booklets provided which are really helpful. Think we’ll definitely re book this property if we’re down this way again. Perfect stay.

We should have stayed longer!
Everything! The apartment was convenient for us and beautifully fitted out. We were a little concerned about parking but this proved to be unfounded, as we found a place just a few yards along the street. Loved every moment of our time in Rhayader and will definitely be returning to Cadwgan House.

There’s a Co-op opposite which is super handy but they do open up pretty early with delivery vans.
Great location in centre of town. Plenty of communication from owners. Dog friendly. Cute decor.

Nothing it was perfect
Fabulous location right in the centre of town. The apartment was beautifully set up with everything you could possibly want. Co op directly across the road. Nice to see sustainable loo roll etc. Met by the hosts, nothing too much trouble. We wanted a few days away from home to calm our hearts and minds after the death of our dog. This was the perfect apartment for a peaceful comfortable stay. Lovely and warm and cosy. We left feeling better A great place, will come back again.

Loved everything absolutely no criticisms to be had.
The property was beautifully and tastefully decorated, the incorporation of timber was so well thought out. My 5 year old daughter loved the fairy house. The attention to detail was exceptional.

The only point i didn't like was the shower. It was completely unusable. Turned it towards hot to get abit of heat and it would make a strange noise go absolutely boiling hot which scauled your skin then it would turn into a drip of water which was good temperature but obviously no flow of water to use. Then it went freezing cold and just kept repeatedly doing that cycle. We ended up having to run a bath which we didnt really have time for at 6am
The apartment was so cosy. Really beautiful and felt like a home away from home the bed was super comfy. Loved that they supplied games do we had ago at a few. Owner was really friendly and the Welsh cakes were a nice little touch.
